Now we just have to wait to see Meredith kick some ass because we KNOW she can. I'm pretty happy about this turn of events and looking forward to them developing her character. “It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while, for the book fans, to bring Meredith into this world,” executive producer Julie Plec tells Zap2it. Of course, Meredith a key character in the novels, and some fans were dismayed when the TV series premiered to see that the character had been cut. Plec and Kevin Williamson kept the idea of the character in mind. “The book fans have, for two and a half years, been screaming at the top of their lungs, ‘Where’s Meredith? Where’s Meredith?’” Plec says. “Meredith was in our original pilot draft, but you have to do some editing and some streamlining when you take a project from book to TV, and Meredith was one of the victims of that streamlining.” Certainly, the Meredith who is introduced in the show is very different from the Meredith we know from the books. Some differences are obvious — her name has been changed from Sulez to Fell, for one, but fans of Bonnie McCullough and Matt Honeycutt know that’s sometimes a necessary evil. She’s also a doctor, not a high school student. Despite the discrepancies, Plec assures us that book Meredith and show Meredith will share some key qualities. They share much more than a first name. But I know some will be heartbroken over it so that makes me sad for my SE friends...

Why the heck are they in some creepy place? It seems odd. I guess we'll find out. I'm wondering if the rest of what they said is confirmed, because if it is they darn near said SE is gonna break up for now, for good, or at least as 'for good' as this show can get which means next week they could be back together again.

Well I honestly do not see Elena getting with neither Salvatore for now. I think this is going to be the temporary end for Stelena imagine she gets turned into a Vampire by the one who wanted to protect her choice from it. Oh man

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: It’s an interesting turn in Stefan’s arc that it’s after his humanity begins to creep back in and he saves Damon that he becomes more of a villain than he ever was when the switch was fully in the ‘off’ position.PAUL WESLEY: He reveals that if he lets any emotions or feelings in, all he feels is deep pain and regret, so he doesn’t want to go there. He’d prefer to just sort of rationalize it by being… incredibly hostile. [Laughs] Source: insidetv.ew.com/2012/01/11/vampire-diaries-paul-wesley-stefan/
