Nina Dobrev puffs on a cigarette before taking boyfriend Ian Somerhalder to her family home for Easter By Rachel Levy PUBLISHED:06:59, 1 April 2013| UPDATED:09:25, 1 April 2013 They've been dating since 2010, but Nina Dobrev appears to still get the jitters when it comes to family functions.
The 24-year-old actress was seen anxiously puffing a cigarette outside her home in Toronto, Canada on Easter Sunday, as her older boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, 34, appeared to play it cool.
Amid the nerves, The Vampire Diaries co-stars certainly came prepared for the family affair, spotted with their hands full of goodies after Nina got her nicotine fix.  Smoke break: Nina Dobrev was seen lighting up alongside her boyfriend Ian Somerhalder before heading into her home in Toronto, Canada
As they stepped out of their silver SUV, Ian was seen grasping onto a white shopping bag, as his girlfriend balanced multiple to-go cups of coffee and what appeared to be a box of donuts.
Opting for comfort, the twosome donned casual clothing, clearly not dressed to impress.
Nina was wearing a basic scarlet V-neck shirt under a long, puffy parka that she teamed with skinny black trousers and short-heeled ankle boots. Keep calm and carry on: Nina appeared nervous by smoking, while her boyfriend seemed relaxed
She even went without makeup, revealing her barefaced beauty as oversized sunglasses kept long, wavy brunette locks out of her face.
Meanwhile, Ian wore a grey knit sweater and loose-fitted blue trousers that he teamed with gym shoes. Not as affected by the weather, he carried his jacket in his arms |

Once the couple finally met up with the starlet's siblings, they appeared to be in better spirits.
Playing around outside, the bunch were seen taking snapshots of each other in the front yard.
And they even used their smart phones to take pictures of the photographers awaiting nearby. However, Nina just watched as she stood with her sunglasses and fur-trimmed hood covering her face.  Caught on camera! The actress' family had fun snapping photos in their front yard
In the holiday spirit, the Rules of Attraction actor sent love to his fans, tweeting 'HAPPY EASTER!!!'
And Nina gave a special shout-out to a sick Vampire Diaries fan in the area who she had visited the day before.
'Happy Easter @kayla_0507 !!!! Thinking of you today - sending you positive vibes ! We had so much fun hanging out with you yesterday!  ' she exclaimed. |

Good news, fang fans! After a “scary trip to the kitty hospital,” Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder’s cat Moke is doing much better. The Vampire Diaries co-stars found themselves wide awake and in a state of panic late last night when their adorable <del>child</del> pet suffered an injury. Despite having a long day on set ahead of them, the on and off screen couple remained by their furry friend’s side throughout the whole ordeal. Thankfully though, Moke (the ginger-haired cat Ian rescued from the set of Lost) pulled through and his “concerned parents” couldn’t be more relieved! “Kid is doing much better now,” Nina tweeted. “Passed out on the good stuff, wrapped in mommas jacket. #phewsighofrelief.” The beautiful brunette actress, who recently visited a young TVD fan awaiting a lung transplant with her blue-eyed beau, also posted three photos of her and Ian showering their precious kitty with lots of love and affection at the veterinary hospital. Brace yourselves for cuteness overload!
 Aww. Poor baby. Poor Ian.

Ian is in China and Nina is in Miami. In my imagination, he sent her a text saying he saw her picture on the internet and he wants to eat right through that bikini and this was her reaction. Hey, it could happen!   |
