Official synopsis: BIRTHDAYS AND GOOD-BYES — Although Caroline is in no mood to celebrate her 18th birthday, Elena, Bonnie and Matt surprise her with a small party in an unusual location. Damon and Stefan disagree on the best way to handle Klaus, and a reckless Stefan decides to test his theory by taking things to dangerous extremes. Bonnie is concerned when Elena tells her about Jeremy’s new plans. At a Founder’s meeting, Alaric once again runs into Dr. Fell, who is in the middle of an argument with her ex-boyfriend, the medical examiner. Tyler refuses to go along with Klaus’ latest demand, and is surprised when Klaus seems to accept his decision.

There goes the hottest guy in the cast.
I'm sad that it's Jeremy, but at the same time glad that he's not gone for good. They pretty much confirmed that he won't be gone forever. He will come back eventually. I hope it's still this season. I know a lot happens in a season so he might be back near the end. I wonder if he's compelled to leave or if he leaves on his own.

I REEEEALLY hope there's a good reaction written for Bonnie to what happened in tonight's episode. Is Jeremy actually appearing in next week's episode? Because if not, then I'm so not satisfied with this episode on the Beremy front.

No I don't think they are over, I think we will prolly have a reunion towards the end! and elena is such a little selfish b... i can't stand her! just because jeremy is having trouble dealing with loosing bonnie you decide to compell him to leave!! wow nice going elena.. considering he killed that hybrid for u!! I don't think Jeremy compelled, when damon looke dinto his eyes, it didnt seem as if he is comepelled i think he left because he feels unwanted

Here's some good news at least on the Beremy front.

It looks like we're almost guaranteed a Beremy scene in the next episode. Judging by the clip, Bonnie looks heartbroken when Elena tells her that Jeremy is leaving town. I have a feeling that they're going to get back together when Jeremy comes back.

I loved the last episode actually. We got some Beremy without them having scenes together. Elena mentioned that Jeremy has been depressed ever since Bonnie broke up with him and when Elena told Bonnie that Klaus tried to kill Jeremy, it looked like she still cared about him.

This makes me feel like Beremy are not over for good and it gives me more hope. Also, Julie Plec is super secretive about the whole Jeremy leaving town thing. She said she didn't want to get into that too much when was asked about it. It makes me believe or hope to believe that she has something good planned with that story line. I also read somewhere that Steven McQueen won't be away from TVD for too long. I just hope that's true! I'm really going to miss Jeremy. He's going to be furious when he finds out what Elena had Damon do.

While Jeremy Gilbert’s (Steven R. McQueen) exit from Mystic Falls in Vampire Diaries Season 3, Episode 10, “The New Deal” makes rational sense — heck, every human should put as many miles between themselves and the town’s deadly supernaturals as possible — it doesn’t mean viewers want the emo teen to be gone forever. Considering Jer’s been compelled by Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to get out of Dodge and enjoy his sketchpad in peace, it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing the suddenly studly 16 year old anytime soon.
But fear not, McQueen fans. According to E!, he isn’t off the show for good. Though they don’t have any details about Jeremy’s exact return date, they have heard that he isn’t gone for good. Phew!

In the meantime, Jeremy’s absence opens up the possibilities for Bonnie (Kat Graham) to get a new love interest. (What? Her ex kissed a ghost and left to draw pictures in Denver. She’s a free woman!)

If we don't have faith who will? I am excited about next week ep I think bonnie going to do soemthing elena not going to agree with but bonnie not going to let them do that to jermey you can tell so im excited I also been thiking and the whole jamie thing and i think it be very predictable if they amde him a love interest it just be like luka all over again. I think they going to make him a brother or somehow related to her ..vampire diaries never repeats storylines which is why Im thinking Jamie not a love interest

I'm not really sure what the whole Jamie thing will be about. I don't think it will last long. Bonnie still has feelings for Jeremy and she'll probably try to move on thinking Jeremy's safe and happy. Once Jeremy returns, I can see it complicating things especially with Jamie (if he lives that long).

This is Kat's interview with the insider when asked about Jeremy.

Insider: Last night didn't really deal with this, but where is Bonnie's head at in terms of Jeremy after the whole Anna thing?
Kat: If you really love somebody, I don't think you could ever get over a pain like that and I think Bonnie was opening herself up to him, in spite of her trust issues [laughs]. So I think it was devastating for her. I also think she knows that Jeremy is young and people make mistakes, so it's half and half.

Insider: In next week's episode, titled Our Town, Bonnie finds out Elena had Damon compel Jeremy into leaving Mystic Falls. How does she react?
Kat: It's shocking - I don't know if I can say that she's happy or sad about [him leaving], it's a lot of mixed emotions. Which I like. She kind of wanted him to leave town because of everything that happened but now that he's gone, she's sad. It's that thing where you want something to happen but when it does, you're no longer sure you wanted it to happen. If anything, she's more shocked by Elena's choice to compel Jeremy to leave. Her reaction to that is very interesting.
