It's not even really that big of a difference in the number of votes and you just know people cheated so it could change alot when they take a look at it. Either way, I don't really care. So the Klaroline fans are rabid? Who cares? They aren't going to get to see their couple together so what's the point of it? Maybe that is the point for them. They see the end coming and they're hoping they can change it, so that gives them inspiration to rally the troops. But I don't see any way unless they want to move Caroline to that show and I don't think they'll do that. DE is in a down time right now due to all this crap in the show as well and people aren't as inspired to vote for all things Delena, it seems.

Once the SB, the Cure and Elena's humanity returns, and the show makes it clear by letting Elena tell Damon that she loves him and without any grey areas the Delena's will start returning to the polls. Right now they are just waiting for Delena to be made an official couple without any angst keeping them apart.
I think we all agree that there is notthing wrong with Delena angst so long as it is not the type of angst preventing them from being together.

The March Final Results.
To say that the final round of Alloy Entertainment’s 2013 March Madness competition was intense would be an understatement. Two Vampire Diaries pairs were left standing – Damon & Elena and Klaus & Caroline – and fans of both couples flocked to the polls to cast their vote for their preferred romance. And, holy Salvatore, did things get heat-ed…
Not surprisingly enough, after removing extraneous votes for each group, we discovered that the results turned out to be a very close call: 10543 versus 10257, which goes to show how powerful each fan-base is. Delena and Klaroline are no doubt pairings that make fans go “HOT DAMN! YES! MORE!” and that was revealed right away by the numbers alone. However, there can only be one winner and this year’s title goes to…Niklaus Mikaelson and Caroline Forbes!

Now remember when that poll closed Klaus & Caroline had 16K votes and Delena had 13k votes. Now I know that we had been static on 10K+ votes when Klaroline went on to gain 16K+ and since they were being called cheats by the Delena fans who had not really bothered to vote in this poll, we suddenly gained another 3,000 votes. I suspect whoever cheated on their poll knew that when the sweep was done they didn't want to be the only ones caught cheating. Seeing how close the results are I guess they didn't want to take the chance, but they won by 286 votes, thats how close it was and we didn't even have the full Delena fanship voting in this poll.
When DE votes went static for a while, that is when the last DE voted, after that I do not think the last 3,000 votes that came out of no where was added by a DE fan, I think it was a cynical move on the part of the person cheating on the KC side, to involve us, since 1,000 votes at a time was what was being added to the Klaroline pairing.

Delena are catching up now, however, it is interesting to see that Kol and Bonnie are leading the couples race. The chemistry between them could be because the actor who plays Kol thinks the Bonnie charector is awsome. When asked which charecter he would kill who would he kiss and whom would he marry he said he'd kill Damon, kiss Elena and marry Bonnie.

I was browsing some Glee tags when I saw a mention of a couple poll and one of the pictures had Delena on it. Then as I read the article it had a mention of 'Remember our last couple who won!' and I clicked the link and it was Delena. Then I realized oh this is that Best TV Couple of all time poll again.
So I thought I'd post in case a few of us here wanted to vote. Though I'm not quite sure I get the whole 'nomination' thing. Delena is one of the four pictures being advertised so I'm not sure if this means they're already in or if we still have to nominate them as a choice. In the comments I see a wave of people posting Klaus and Caroline so I wonder if maybe the nominations are for ships who weren't on the list and a chance to get in. Otherwise it's a bit odd that I don't see any fans of Delena or Stelena for that matter posting their 'nominations' in the comments.

So that was indeed the nomination round - Round 1 is officially on with 64 couples in the running. Round 2 starts Monday with the top 32 couples from this round. Get voting! Does anyone know how to navigate to the second round of this poll or if it's even started yet? I saw a mention on tumblr about how DE was up against Hook and Emma and how unfair it was for DE to be put up against such touch competition so early in the brackets while SE was put up against a more niche couple.
Normally I'm not too much gung ho for polls. But after seeing all those posts from Doppel with the other fandoms actively trying to vote against us, I want to lend my support to the DE fandom. |

We're down 2% right now (middle of the night but I digress). Keep voting Delenas cause the world is against us...you know what they say, if you aren't the lead dog, the view never changes...remember that...everyone is jealous of the lead dog, am I right? So vote hard!

We're still down two/three percent. Well luckily SE doesn't seem to be having any better luck. Ugh this fandom is really freaking annoying. Honestly the other shows against TVD ships have nothing to worry about, the TVD fandom will do the honor of knocking down their own ships themselves!
The only TVD ship winning by a landslide right now is SC against a probably not so popular Grey's Anatomy ship. Though I doubt SC will get far either once the SE fandom starts voting against them as well. When their ship (and possibly DE) is knocked out of the poll, they'll have nothing better to do.

Sigh now Stelena is up by one percent (which could change but right now they're ahead in their competition) and Delena is now down by five percent. This is starting to be a big headache and it's more obvious we have multiple fandoms playing against us. Delena has proved itself time and time again by winning countless polls, but you just know the moment we happen to lose just one that all the antis are going to claim had bad DE is and blah blah blah.
Though for this poll in particular claiming TV's top couple, it's just going to be so grating seeing SE advance when they really do not deserve to be there. I'm not sure why SE was on this poll in the first place, a couple that's been broken up for seasons now with the writers constantly digging the hole deeper to prove how much these two are not meant for each other. It should have stayed as non existant to this poll just like Bonnie and Damon were.
To see a couple that was voted as one of the worst try to even compete in this poll slated for the top, is just ridiculous. |

Stelena is still worst couple only now they have fans that cheat to win a poll. It's not going to change the fact that they were terrible as a couple or that Delena won tons of polls (before the losers banded together to cheat and make Delena lose) and awards for chemistry...so whatever. It means nothing. If Delena loses on their own merit at some point then we know they've really lost their popularity. Stelena isn't going to most likely even get past the next round once those fandoms that helped them are against them...lol We're also against Emma and Hook in this round, another very popular ship! That was kind of a bad move to do that so early. Emma and Hook and Delena could have easily been the last two ships standing and had a good run for votes and an exciting ending to the poll. |
