That part about the remaining mystery for Elena's parents sounded interesting to me as well, it was a bit unexpected as I thought the writers were kinda threw with that storyline. Also wouldn't it be neat if they actually met Elena's biological parents? Isobel and John? But I guess there's nothing really more to tell with them.
Anyways I'm with you guys, I hope this isn't something that's incoming for a retconning as most of their recent flashbacks have felt a bit inconsistent. |

Yes, Damon looked especially fuctastic that episode? Am I allowed to say that? LOL. But you get my point. Sexy vibes were bouncing all over him and all I kept thinking about was how Nina could ever resist him. I'm past all that, but when you have Ian in front of you giving you I want to jump your bone eyes, how could any woman not want to oblige his every thought?
Again, I enjoyed the episode, but I agree with the those that said the stupidity of some of the writing amazes me. Why don't they just kill Kai while he's passed out? The dude wants to kill all of them and won't stop trying but we're supposed to believe blood-nosed Jo can beat that witchy beast? Yeah, right.
I can't wait for Stefan to make a damn move on Caroline. That poor boy needs to get some game like his bro.

I've just got to say this.... Kai: Already bored. I liked him at first but now he's gone stale. He's a one trick pony and too predictable in how he behaves and I'm bored. I just want to punch that smug little face but I am not the slightest bit afraid of him. I can almost imagine him shrieking at the sight of a spider! Not everyone can be Ian! Villain Damon was one of a kind and always kept me entertained. He was completely unpredictable and would kill you as fast as he'd look at you...nobody else has managed that not even Klaus, though Klaus managed to keep me scared (and entertained) a little while until the pony painting that emasculated him...ewww. That and his frilly talk and teary eyes trying to make people feel sorry for him...just ewww...Klaus, go grow a set. Katherine was better than the both of them, Kai and Klaus!

Although I can see what's going on can be getting tiresome and old - it's like they now have to wait another month for the celestial event, so him sucking powers from places and trying to figure out how to control it and the whole twin storyline - will they merge, won't they merge - this has been going on since Thanksgiving so it's like, get on with it! I think he's still intriguing and he's good looking and dark - not as much as Damon is, but in his own right. I hope they take his character up a notch though and do something with him and not just let it fall flat, because Chris really is talented. He surprised me from how I thought he would be when he first met Damon and Bonnie in the AU. I thought he would be gone after a couple of episodes (by way of Damon) and I didn't think he would amount to much. I still want to see more though, if they do it right. Much like Enzo's character has fallen flat and I am hoping this Sarah storyline builds up to more and serves a purpose for him because I am ready for Enzo to be a part of something and own it - not leave everyone scratching their heads going, wtf? |

Some people are still convinced he is leaving at the end of the season and consider how they are throwing these new guys at us proof of that, that they think they can shift the audience's favor off of Damon, but that will never work. |
