Katherine always keeps tabs on the gang, too, so she would hear of this and she has a stake in the whole thing as well. So, you could be right! I want to see Katherine again!

Could Elijah also be the team? I mean he is coming back soon so it could make sense. I do like the Katherine idea, it'd be nice to see her reaction to Elena being a vampire now. Speaking of Elena, gosh, she is just getting on my nerves. I liked the whole Stefan and Rebekah thing they've got going on. It's nice to see Stefan with someone other than Elena, even if it is just rebound sex. I kind of feel bad for Matt, it kind of seems like he's just the walking blood bag this season. He's definitely a champ about all of it. I wonder when he's going to reach his breaking point though.

Team Katherine seems more and more viable to me when considering we're going to have a Klaus wrap up so he can move off the show and on to his own soon. If Katherine becomes his blood bag (ie: She winds up being cured) his problem is solved and he no longer needs Elena. Then TVD is also free to move on from this never ending storyline and Nina won't have to play Katherine as she will likely be back on the run, but human, and maybe in NO, so that's why Klaus persues her to there. It's possible.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was Katherine. We haven't seen her for a while.
