Didn't know/forgot it was a KW show. FOX has been advertising the *HELL* out of it though these past few weeks. Going to check it out.

It looks pretty good to me. I'll watch it even though I secretly wish KW would come back to TVD.

The premise is interesting to me. A serial killer (that escapes) who has a network of followers/other killers. I'm a fan of the movies Hannibal/Red Dragon/Silence of the Lambs so this seems right up my alley.
KW has no part in the Originals spin-off, does he? He helped get TSC off the ground so I'm wondering if he's currently done with the 'supernatural' stuff for the time being (does he still check in on TVD even?).

Yeah I like those movies too, cept I never saw Red Dragon, but the Hannibal Lector ones...creepy. Red Dragon focused on Edward Norton's character who was the one who caught Lecter and then went to him (before Clarice Starling) for help in catching the 'Tooth Fairy', another serial killer. You might like it as it's a prequel to SotL. I think I've only seen bits of the 'young' Lecter one.

I have to say, I like it. It's creepy to imagine that a serial killer is orchestrating stuff from behind bars with people who admire him and then having these people enter the lives of his victims/people he's got ties with (the babysitter his wife uses, the next door neighbors of his last victim that he failed to kill). He kills 5 guards, escapes and kills his last intended victim just to spur a new 'book'? And wants to get caught again at that so he can work alongside the guy that caught him the first time?
Really want to know what the end game is for Caroll (?). He's spurred all this but is it just for a new chapter or is he really trying to get back at Hardy (? think I'm on with the names), who apparently slept with his wife.
Either way, got a new Monday show. Just hope it runs it's course on FOX.

Just watched this. I really liked it; had a couple of actual jump moments for me. It was much, much better than TVD pilot that's for sure. It's a rather elaborate set up and I'm not exactly sure where this is going but I'm on board.
Slash, I think he's trying to both; a new chapter and revenge on Hardy though I don't believe it's only because Hardy slept with his wife.
I'm also guessing that Caroll's execution is not going to happen in a month's time.
Nice to see Mrs. Lockwood and Mrs. McCall.
Also liked the bookending of Marilyn Manon's version of Sweet Dreams.

I doubt it and I'm sure that's why he pulled this off when he did. If he's operating or greenlit a network of killers, law enforcement is going to need/want his insight into some of these individuals or have him point out who it is so he's become an irreplaceable asset for them going forward.
Could also be an 'appreciation' of Hardy but we've only got an episode to go off of. Hardy said he was following Caroll to work, from work, all around to see if he'd slip up so Hardy was someone that was on to/suspicious of him long before and was the only one tailing him, just enough to stop him from completing a kill. He specifically said he did this for Hardy too to draw him back out. He's got some big plans I suspect to make this a 'ride'.

I think he's working a network of serial killers. Wiki says:
My guess is that we're probably going to see more serial killers eventually. But if he's created the technology for it (or had people create it for him), he can't be too helpful because then the other serial killers wouldn't use it.
It's really interesting how he as all these followers....what's in it for them? The guard, we know he was teaching. But the nanny? The faux gay guys?
Really, there's a ton of questions about just what exactly is going on.

Ok, this show is really good 2 episodes in. So now Carroll's followers have resorted to open/public attacks/killings with setting people on fire. I said 'Damn'. So I'm guessing the '3rd wheel' that's watching over Carroll's son is 'bi'/actually did fall for the whole 'fake gay relationship' thing and does like the guy he was paired up with for the past few years. He's really making a point to point out how the other guy deserves 'better' and that the girl isn't good for him (names, what are they? ) Girl so far seems to be the longest follower that's come into contact with Carroll and she's kind of 'creepy', although kind of hot (I like the short hair, sue me). Killed her mom and from previews, looks like she'll get physical with the other guy as well for putting her down (something her mom was doing so it's hitting all sorts of buttons for her). Is the new FBI lady a follower too? What the hell was with her handing Carroll the book? I think Claire, Carroll's wife has it right in only trusting Hardy right now. Seems you just don't know who's a follower of Carrolls and it's going to get worse if more followers start taking things/news as a call to act out/take action of their own. Wondering just how much Carroll has thought ahead for problems arising, such as the guard not being killed by Hardy. Also liked how the one agent slipped Hardy the gun as he was closing the door. Real slick.

So I finally got to watch the show and it was awesome I can't believe I put it off for two weeks.
I was thinking about the main cop lady and when she handed him the book I was like a follower? Or maybe she will manipulate him into thinking shes a follower since she followed the whole religion thing.
Yea I think hardy is one of the only people she can trust. And I agree about the cop putting the gun in the back.
Emma looks like a psycho. She's going to be the next crazy one.

A little spoiler for tonights episode highlight to view ( "The Following": This probably won't surprise the more astute viewers, but in tonight's new episode, we'll see a flashback that reveals that during the years Jacob and Paul were "pretending" to be a gay couple, their feelings for each other weren't entirely make-believe. What will surprise you? That's not the biggest secret that Jacob has been keeping from Emma. Not by a long shot.)

So that's what Paul's problem is with Emma. They did actually have some feelings towards one another when they got into this and Emma is stepping all over that for Paul. Now he's kind of losing it, going into town and kidnapping a girl. @ Reilly dying. Can't trust anyone. And what the hell at being killed because you wrote a negative review. Hardy fell victim to Joe's personality and 5 more girls died after that before Hardy got to Joe. That must weigh hard on him, even the one who died in the first episode.

So Jacob has never killed anyone and still can't bring himself to do it. I thought his attempt to let the girl go was half-assed, especially with Emma & Paul at the house, who caught her. Also surprised at the 180 that Paul & Emma have done with one another in this episode. I'm actually looking forward to where this is going. They both love Jacob and it seems all 3 of them can now get along. Just...damn.
