So Rebekah is suppose to be with Damon & Elena in "NY" in this episode? Is that my understanding. The pic of Nina & Claire is taken on location right? Are they just hanging around on set or is she there also filming? Does anyone know? And that is Jeremy alive & well filming for EP 17? I'm not hallucinating? He's not just visiting them on set. Please tell me JerBer is safe & he's actually filming!

4x17 Synopsis:
"Because the Night" description. FLASHBACK TO DAMON’S LIFE IN 1970s NEW YORK / THE BAND DEAD SARA PERFORMS — Realizing that Elena (Nina Dobrev) needs some time away from Mystic Falls, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) takes her to New York City, where he lived and partied hard in the 1970s. When Rebekah (Claire Holt) also shows up in New York, she’s impressed with Elena’s secret agenda. Flashbacks reveal Damon’s hedonistic life in the underground club scene and a complicated encounter with Lexi (guest star Arielle Kebbel). Meanwhile, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) try to convince Klaus (Joseph Morgan) that it would be in his own best interest to help them track Silas down, and Bonnie (Kat Graham) struggles to keep her grasp on reality and do the right thing. Garreth Stover directed the episode written by Brian Young & Charlie Charbonneau (#417).

She may be roaming around ghost world now, but Lexi Branson (Arielle Kebbel) is still alive and well in Stefan and Damon Salvatore’s memories. And in The Vampire Season 4, Episode 17, the gorgeous bloodsucker is returning once again to melt our hearts, slip into some leather, and kick major ass.
Obviously Lexi will appear only in flashback scenes but we’re still beyond excited. Aside from reuniting with one of our favorite characters, we’re going to see a whole new side to Sexy Lexi — one in which instead of rocking out at concerts with Stefan she’s roaming the streets of New York City with Damon (Ian Somerhalder)…. in the 1970s! Plus, late seventies indulgences aside, there;s more to look forward too: Caroline and Stefan team up to convince Klaus to help them track down Silas, Bonnie’s immense powers rattle her sense of morality, and Elena and Damon take bite out of the Big Apple during a weekend getaway trip to the city that never sleeps. Preview all the road trip and flashback excitement in official photos from “Because the Night” below! Then, drop us a comment telling us what you think Lexi and Damon were doing together in the 1970s. Fighting crime? Being each other’s wing peeps? Bemoaning their lifetime of woes over bourbon? The possibilities are endless!

How is Lexi out in the daylight without bursting into flames? Or is she trying to hide is a little corner? And why are she & Damon holding hands? This is very interesting.

Lexi looks so beautiful here! I love her hair like this! I wonder where Stefan was when all this was going down? I wish I couldn't seen what Stefan's hair would've looked like in the 70's! Kinda like Aidan's from Being Human maybe! LOL!

In that photo the way Lexi is eyeing up Damon laying on the bar, makes me wonder just what kind of relationship they really had, it is almost adoring more then anything else.

ETonline: That episode [1x17] also features the return of Lexi, a character Damon shares a very tumultuous history with. What's it like this time around? Somerhalder: What's cool about it is that you see how long and turbulent their history is. There are just so many different agendas and egos at play, but at the end of the day, both Lexi and Damon love Stefan, so to see them interacting throughout an episode where they're not trying to kill each other or making derogatory jokes to one another the entire time is amazing. There was a real relationship there, so it was fun to explore.ETonline: I'd also imagine that this new layer to their relationship makes the fact he killed her more significant. Somerhalder: Totally. I think if you go back to that episode after seeing next week's, the look of betrayal on her face, the shock of it all, is recontextualized. Which I think is a great way to elaborate or, at times, strengthen or fix a storyline that maybe didn't work as well. It's an added bonus to the structure of how our show works.www.etonline.com/tv/131647_Ian_S ... index.html
