I love Hawaii. It's hard to explain it but there's this awesome breeze, the tradewinds going through there and the flowers, the plumeria smell so heavenly. Every time I think about Hawaii that's what I think about. I dove there off/near Diamond Head, as I'm a certified scuba diver and that was amazing, the water is so crystal clear and all the colorful tropical fish, beautiful. The Japanese culture there is pretty strong so lots of good asian food and it's almost like visiting Japan without visiting Japan in some areas.

My Dad got really into geneaology and found all this stuff out. He managed to go back to like 600AD with my family only because they were royalty. I doubt you could find records on common people that far back. Now if only I had some of that money they probably had back then...hehe

I know he used ancestry.com at some point. He put it all in a document for us all. Also since alot of my heritage is Scottish they have Highland games and clan get togethers and he is active in that and there he gets the stories of our family from other clan members and stuff and gets alot of leads he follows up on as well. He's been to Scotland several times now and been in the Clan castle which is a private home now so that was a treat for him to be able to actually go inside of it.

I had a distant uncle who reached out to me on facebook by also using ancestry.com My last name is very unique and it was changed in the form of spelling so people with my last name are somehow related to me. Turns out my last name comes from a rich family in Dominican Republic who resided there when they came from Another country that i dont remember right now. but it was pretty interesting and cool to see people who you have no idea who they are and being related somehow through this complicated family tree

Here's the castle, also known as Dundarave Castle, that my ancestors lived in, built sometime in the 12th century and of course restored over time.

Yea this guy was trying to plan a BIG REUNION in Dominican Republic for everyone to go but I dont know what happened with it. He got sick and then put it on hold but never returned to the plans.
I also had an aunt who reached out to me from my father's side. (Not too close to my biological father) She shared some history about my family tree on my dad's side and how were the other generations like etc. It made me appreciate my last name. Like u said doppel its nice to know where you come from.

Now this wraps up my musical taste pretty well other than Mozart, Lacrimosa or the full Requiem being my favorite whom I LOVE despite people making faces at me when I listen to it.
Now listening to:
