I'm not really paying attention either. It doesn't bother me. They're upset and that's not a surprise of course but it isn't phasing me. The only thing I really don't like is when they downplay their relationship by saying they're just a temporary distraction. I feel bad for all the hate Elena is getting too since she DID stick by Stefan for a long time after they were apart, all summer and now into the fall/school year. I don't really know what they expect from her. She's got a life too.. I wouldn't wait around either. If anything, Elena is the one who got a big slap in the face. She holds out all this hope and faith for Stefan only for him to screw her over in the end.. like when he almost got Jeremy killed over this revenge crap.. hell, he almost got Jeremy AND Alaric killed. Maybe when he gets his head out of his ass, I'll feel sorry for him  ... or maybe not  |

Well I'm not gonna feel sorry for him. I never liked him very much to begin with.

I think the haters are just mad right now so they are saying a bunch of bull crap to make them feel better. But what irks me is the Elena hate! Why can Stefan literally crap all over and she kisses Damon back, the guy who has stuck with her. The guy who has saved her all season. The guy who loves her and has been there for her. The guy who kissed her first! BTW he kissed her the same day that Stefan basically said F you to everyone she loves! What irks me is that Elena the woman gets all of the anger. i see people dismissing Damon's part and putting the blame on Elena. When as women are we going to not blame the woman more harshly than the man? Why do we band behind the serial crazy ripper who just told her "it's not his problem" over the heroine who literally has dealt with turmoil, loss of life and verbal abuse ALL SEASON? Why do we judge women more harshly. Why is Elena who you obviously have to like to ship SE getting thrown to the wolves when Stefan pushed her into Damon's arms? That's what pisses me off!  |

You just asked a BIG question and one I've asked myself so many times. Yup, we women get treated like dirt and not just by men but by women, too! There's a serious double standard going on. Who knows what generation it will be before that changes if it ever does.

You know I gotta say this, I like the ripper thing but he's still just unlikeable to me as a character. So whereas before he was just boring as all get out, now he's just a snot face. He's obnoxious and not funny or fun...still boring in a new way, only now he's irritating and boring. I dont know what the deal is with Stefan because Paul is ALOT of fun, but it sure doesn't come across in this character. |

You know I liked Ripper Stefan better than "pretend" ripper or vengeful ripper un-compelled Stefan! Now he pisses me off! Everything Damon got bashed for Stefan is doing! I mean yes Damon killed Jer but Stefan basically let Jer almost die! Klaus warned him way before Elena came to him!
And yes I have been seeing all the Elena hate and I'm like why is she getting it? I don't get it? This dude during this whole time mentally abused her, he lied to her about his past, heturned into a ripper and after he was no longer compelled he en dangers them and she is a s***. She is a backstabbing whore. They aren't together. He made that clear in Episode 4 was it in Chicago? Or was that 3? Anyway he made it clear then and even after he became un-compelled his first thought was steal coffins not make up with Elena or make it better...
But poor Stefan! I feel bad that the guy went through all of that but at the end of the day IT WAS OVER!!!! Everything he does after Klaus let him free is on him. Elena is now a victim and he is letting her be that way.
So why poor Stefan? Why is Elena a whore? it's sickening the double standard we women place upon ourselves.

It's been every generation and so it goes... But you are right, Stefan has been doing all this stuff and STILL getting his free pass as always. I whinged so hard on that for a long time back at the old board how he would do stuff and every single time not a peep was made about it out of the people who liked him but Damon so much as sneezed on someone and all hell broke loose. Well...now it's Damon's turn to have a good time. |
