This show is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you aren't watching then you gotta be. iansfan (spoilers) Last episode was crazy amazing. Tomas was a jerk and he deserved what was coming. I love Sebastian. I also love the king and his affair with whatever her name is. Still getting used to names. Did you know one of her maidens is from The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe movies? Anyway I hope it turns into a triangle soon. That Clarissa is creeping me out. Sleeping under her bed? And the Queen is such a BITCH! I just love the wardrobe too. The clothing is amazing. I want to jump inside and be a part of the filming. Anyway Love this show. |

SPOILER ALERT........ Oh Sweet, thanks for putting this together. I love the king too, there is something very sexy about him. Yes, recognized the girl from Narnia. She still seems young to me. I think there might be something brewing between her and Bast though...that won't do it for me. I want him and Mary together. I like the Prince, he really is kind of wonderful but there is something about that bastard brother of his that makes my heart go pitter pat!
Do you recognize the queen? Did you ever watch the Anne of Green Gables series? That's our Anne. All grown up. It took me awhile.
I like this show for many reasons. The costumes are a little over the top and probably not very period but they are cool. I like that things actually happen on the show and it tends to have a beginning and an end.
I love the relationship between the brothers and how the king treats Sebastian too. I'm interested in learning more about the woods and Sebastian's link to it. There is a dark mystery lurking there.
And yes, that Clarissa is really creepy. I wonder who she might be.
It was brilliant putting this show on after TVD!
The blonde friend who is hanging out in the kitchen with the cook looks familiar to me. She looks like she should have brown hair. Something odd about her coloring.
Nostradumus..what the heck? He's kind of a mumbling, limping, giant of a man who forsees doom and gloom. What a chum.

Been re watching the episodes and I am now even more in love with Bash. He is perfect for Mary. I hope this isn't some long drawn out love triangle that will drive me insane!
It does say in the commercial for the show that Mary is to marry Francis but sinister dealings and matters of the heart (something to that effect) try to keep them apart. Mary must have feelings for Bash and that is what will get in the way of the Francis and her being happy together.
I like Francis enough. I don't dislike him like I do Stefan. I like that the brothers are close and they respect each other.
Can't wait till Thursday!

After watching last nights episode I am not a Francis fan. He is handsome enough and even kind at times but i do not feel he puts mary first and he is soooo snappy. Last episode they kissed and he saved her from Tomas and this episode he is telling her he will act anyway he wants and his lady friend is not to leave! He kissed that girl and told Mary he did it. Yes Mary was drunk when she kissed Bash but instead of talking it throughwith her he acted like a child and didn't even tell her he saw them kiss.
Which speaking of the KISS! Holy wow! I didn't think we'd get so lucky to have a kiss that soon. Mary initiated the first and then apologized after then Bash took back the apology and kissed her again. From the moment that man laid eyes on mary he was hers... Especially to me. Mary is a heroine I can cheer for. I love her. If she married Francis I would not be upset because it's her country that comes first but we know that bash will have her heart and Francis will always come second to bash. Bash will become her "misteress"... LOL and the rightful king in line once Mary has a boy will be debated because we wont know if it's Bash's or Frances's heir. Oh I love the sound of it all.
SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES!

Yes, yes, and yes, Sweet! I too am smitten! I adore Mary and love Bash. They are meant for each other. Francis pisses me off, then redeems himself, still, like Bash said, he has Mary, why would he look elsewhere? Francis isn't man enough for Mary. I'm afraid the kiss will tear the brothers apart, but it really can't be helped. LOVE your idea on who will be the heirs real father. This show is awesome!

I have the feeling that Bash will leave, either of his own free will or by decree. Maybe his father will give him a castle on the coast of France and Mary will be distraught and go to him.
Do we call this ship, Mash or Bary?

I've read some reviews that said the kiss was too soon. Not enough angst and longing between the two. In truth there was not much longing at all from Mary and some may say that Bash was a bit of a creeper the way he was always staring and just kind of always being where she was. And I get that, I guess.
Of course the entire thing can be explained away with the Olivia presence and the fact that Mary and Bash had been drinking and of course all the wonderful things Bash says. (good grief, he's hot). But I think and hope what will happen is that after this Mary will think back on that kiss and will desire Bash and seek him out. Sure, of course there will be that awkward time at first when they will have to talk about it and apologize to each other, but Mary and Bash will not be able to forget that moment they shared and it will ignite a flame in Mary that she didn't even know existed.
Then we'll have the longing and the angst and all the good stuff that goes along with it. Hoping anyway.

I also would be curious to see what percentage of Bash fans are Damon fans and what percentage of Stefan fans are Francis fans. I bet there's a correlation.

I'm not even sure I know what happened in the last scene between the three of them last episode. Francis just frees himself up to see whomever he wants and Mary can do the same as long as it isn't his brother? And Francis literally threatens Bash. Interesting...
I heard an interview where Torrance Coombs said that the kiss was the beginning of the end of that relationship. I certainly hope not!!!! As much as I'm not sure I can survive another brother triangle it's the reason I watch the show. I don't want Bash with anyone else. I actually like Mary, I think she's wonderful and she and Bash belong together, history be damned!
Francis has not earned any points with me lately.
In any case, it's got me watching~!

What!!! The beginning of the end? NO NO NO NO! I am more and more drifting away from Francis. He had sex with Olivia. He is no longer forgivable to me. I am so angry at him. How can he say you can basically sleep with whomever because I am as long as its not the one guy who actually cares for you? I know it's his brother but come on. Francis is such a jealous monster. It's if I cant have her heart fully you cant either but I'm gonna go sleep with the girl who is trying to ruin Mary's life! I'm so sick of his mom too. Stefan and Francis are a lot alike. Blond, brooding always feeling sorry for themselves. They both send out mix signals and think too highly of themselves. Bash is perfect. I also love that he has this forbidden blood running through his veins. makes him darker and more sexy than the blond doo gooder Francis who one minute wants to look out for Mary and the next he acts all douche bag king on her. UGH!

Yes, Sweet agree on the Francis thing with all my heart. I understand where he is coming from one minute and the next minute I'm like "what?? Dial it back, son, that makes no sense!"
Hate the queen but would hate to be her even more. How big would that life suck?
Bash, sigh....I don't think it can be over between Bash and Mary. Although someone tweeted to Torrance Coombs that "Every kiss has a message and this one was...good bye" He favorited it. Perhaps it is just for the suspense.
Even though we haven't had the longing looks and the knowing eye sex between the two of them for years and years (ala TVD) we know there is something very strong there between Bash and Mary. I LOVED the part when Bash tells his mother that Francis tried to rule HIS heart by ruling his own. That was so deep. What can Bash do but take a step back? His own brother has threatened him. We don't want a repeat of Thomas Culpepper do we? I think Mary will start to think of Bash differently after this. She'll have to think of that kiss, she may be Queen but she is also human, and who could resist that kind of promise?
I'm sorry it has changed the bromance between Bash and Francis, I guess it had to happen but I really enjoyed their closeness. I shouldn't compare it to TVD, but it was refreshing to see these two brothers so close.
I'm thrilled that this time Bash is the favored son by the father but the king seems to be so easily manipulated by his women I'm not sure what will happen there.
All in all...it's a fun show to watch, I just hope that there is more there than Mary and Francis and their ridiculous "arrangement" that serves no one.
