Does anyone else really like Enzo? If there was a moral scale in the vampire diaries with Stefan been good and Damon been bad I think Enzo would be in the middle. He seems to be as bad as Damon at worst yet he seems to have honour. I really hope they don't kill him off as once he becomes good it'd be great for Damon to have a drinking buddy again (i miss Alaric) and I think he could add a new dynamic to the group.

I'm not sure yet how Enzo will turn out and what he is up to. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I have to admit I kind of like him too. I've seen a lot of blurbs from the writers and creators calling him a villain, but so far I don't feel like he has done anything really villainous. Maybe there's a twist coming? I don't know. Either that, or the writers are stupid and don't understand what a villain is ... which I guess is possible.

I think there's a twist coming. He seems to be pretty friendly with the travelers and you've got to wonder why.

Both true. I hope he gets redeemed though as he'd be a great main since 3 main characters are now usless. (the three i mean is tyler , jeremy and Bonnie. They hall had great stories but right now seem just there)

I would actually love to discuss Enzo. I don't really understand what did the writers do.. At the beginning he had issues, bad boy on loose but all of our crazy vampires had those issues, it was nothing that couldn't be fixed. When the season 6 started, he was a good friend, did everything he could to bring Damon back and he was a sweetheart to Caroline. The weirdest thing is that when Damon managed to come back, Enzo had no interaction with him. And then they make Enzo a crazy, jealous person, who is focused on Stefan. Why?

I agree, so far his storyline is really not making sense. I feel like they had planned for him to be a villain, but people liked him and they went off course, and now maybe they're trying to steer him back to the bad side of things? But they are not making is very cohesive ... I hope they clear things up in the second half.

I agree with you guys, I'm not really sure where Enzo's character is even headed now or what goal tge writers wanted for him. Personally I'm still frustrated over the fact that Enzo and Damon haven't had any conclusion to the whole backstory of their past arc.
This goes back to season 5 when Enzo learned that Damon killed Maggie and he shut off his emotions. Then we get this great speech from Damon to Stefan about how he would help Enzo in this time, as atonement for what happened in the past. Damon wanted to be the one who Enzo directed his hate at and wanted to fix things between them.
Of course at the time he didn't know he was dead. Enzo killed himself to get back at Damon and then proceeded to attack Elena as a ghost. Another speech from Damon about finding a way for Enzo to return. Enzo comes back. Damon dies. We get Enzo frustrated with Stefan about giving up to get Damon back. Things made sense up to this point.
Except when Damon comes back, THEY BARELY INTERACT. This literally makes no sense. Why aren't they picking up where they left off with Maggie? Enzo barely mentions her anymore for a character who was literally a light in darkness along with Damon. Why haven't Damon and Enzo officially made up? As in analyzed their past and let bygones be bygones? Last time we were aware Enzo was mad at Damon for killing Maggie.
Enzo is more about Stefan now than Damon, all that anger he had with being left to burn/torture seems to have literally been dropped. It's just now an inconclusive storyline.

Yeah, it's really strange. It all made sense up until Damon came back. Enzo vowed to give Stefan a life of misery - basically taking Damon's place because he was gone and also because he was mad at him for giving up on Damon. OK, I get that, but then Damon came back and he clearly made amends with his brother. Shouldn't Damon and Enzo have had a convo about their feelings and where they stood as friends? They should have had Enzo drop the whole "I'm gonna make Stefan pay" act and had him just be cool with Damon again, have his usual banter with everyone else and go on the occasional mission to find out the truth about things - like maybe the truth about Sarah, but in a less stalker, weird way.

This show has a way of using it's characters to do it's dirty work (Think Caroline becoming a big time Damon hater after getting along with him for 2+ seasons just fine!) and I think that's the deal with Enzo here. There is a secret that Stefan is keeping about the Salvatore history, maybe Sarah herself, and they needed a character to be there to witness it and Enzo wasn't doing anything special so bam, bow Enzo has a chip on his shoulder about Stefan. It's awful writing because it's inconsistent with the character and where they are and way too convenient for them to do these stupid turn arounds for plot's sake.

They also used him to out Caroline's feelings to Stefan at a completely random moment. It didn't really make sense at the time, and they tried to build up to it by letting us know he had feelings for her but they threw him in there in an awkward way - kind of like 'Enzo has feelings for her, let's make him look jealous and out her to Stefan'. Like they couldn't figure out how to make Stefan see it without Care coming right out an saying it.

It looked like they were creating a bond between Caroline and Enzo but then they decided to go with Steroline. Which is awful!! I was just starting to feel Carenzo.

I am still hopeful Enzo is going to serve some purpose and be a great character. I think the writers are trying to duplicate Dalaric with Stefan and Enzo. Stefan has no male friends. His major developments outside of Damon and Elena revolved around Klaus and Rebekah. Now that he has no Elena storyline, he needs a male companion. They are executing poorly but much like Alaric hated Damon when they first met, only to become bad asses, I think they are writing Enzo to make like a living hell for Stefan so they can become bros later. This also explains why Enzo has spent no screen time with Damon since Damon's return. Enzo is too good a character to ignore and Stefan needs a storyline! Plus he would be interesting triangle for Caroline.
