Reminder of how special Ian is and the fact that Kat Graham noticed it, makes her special too. Far too many people take advantage of people like Ian and don't appreciate his kindness. They see it as weakness and something to exploit for their own gain. Kat is obviously not one of those people. I'm glad they are good friends.

I've heard also from other people that Ian is sort of their mentor at TVD. They all look up to him and go to him for advice and/or help in sticky situations. You can see it in the way they all look at him when the group is asked questions and he is always the one to step up and answer questions for the cast. He's like their big brother, always looking out for them, always there for them.

The tweeter got it slightly wrong, Kat is actually hanging out with fans on the Boardwalk in Alantic City, New Jersey. But, Ian and Kat love talking with their fans.
