I am going to just admit this will be a guilty pleasure and it doesn't have to make sense, or be show canon or anything! I am just going to enjoy. Plus, Beremy intimate scenes were always kind of awkward when they should have been hot. (I love Jeremy but he has no purpose right now...) If Kai stalks Bonnie a bit, I think I would love that!! And maybe, just maybe, Bonkai can have a story line that is actually integrated into the rest of the story lines, rather than just be like Beremy, who were in their own dimension even when they weren't.

It also goes to show you how casting the right actor can really bring a character to life. I mean, I think we were supposed to like Llama boy. And I feel nothing for Luke. But Kai is evil and psycho and I want him to have more screen time. Just like Enzo needs more screen time. (None of this bodes well for Stefan. They really need to give his character a storyline and not just with Caroline.) The way some of these new characters are fleshing out, I might not hate S7.

Tell me Kai didn't have some deep seated pain from all of that...and why would JP give us so much of his emotional backstory if it won't really matter because he's a remorseless psychopath that she doesn't want us to feel empathy for?

Hmmmm. I have to think on this one. I like Kai now. At first I was like who the HELL is on my screen. This kid is a putz. Now he is growing on me. I was not a Klaus fan. I did not find him redeemable and I think Caroline was an idiot for liking him and or sleeping with him. No an idiot is too nice. She was a hypocritical b*tch for sleeping with Klaus. If I was Tyler and Elena I would have ripped each blond strand out of that pretty head. Klaus was a horse drawing pathetic waste of a villain. Who drowns a defenseless woman in a fountain? At least slit her throat open with your fangs and drink her dry! What a piece of garbage. Ok I'll stop bashing Klaus since this isn't the anti Klaroline and or Anti Klaus thread but I needed to make a point.... RIP Aunt Jenna... =( This is the main reason I refuse to watch the Originals.
My point is Kai is a true villain thus far. He's not out making friendship bracelets with Bonnie he is manipulating and conniving his way into freedom. He is stabbing Bonnie one minute then opening his soul up to her the next. Confliction which I adore in a villain. Maybe this could work maybe not. Bonnie is pretty sparkly clean and if she can see Damon in a good light after all he's done I feel like she could see Kai as well if and only if she's able to fix him. I think she has to be involved in his character evolution and she must be the key to his "humanity" or redemption. If they have him just turn good without Bonnie being the main reason why this ship wont sail.
If it goes that way bravo to TVD for seeing a possibility and going for it. But for the first time he is a BAD I don't want to die. I hope TVD doesn't find a way to save the day by killing him off. That would be a big miss and loss for TVD and on JP's part.

There is potential there and not only potential but an interesting storyline to be had so let's hope they aren't so dead set on making him completely irredeemable and ending him quick before we ever get to see the story unfold. That would be tragic since TVD needs more interesting storylines besides Delena. I think even JP was surprised by this actor though so maybe she did plan on him being a throwaway but he sure isn't! We haven't seen anyone new who is that interesting in a while, if ever. Klaus was a good bad guy but when he started painting ponies I lost all respect for him. That was just stupid and he cried too much...lol But yeah this isn't the anti-Klaus thread. A lot of people liked him regardless of all of that, but to me he acted like a spoiled two year old wanna be painter, painting his pretty ponies...blech! But I'm not worried that Kai will turn out that way because of the actor that plays him and the way he is playing it. He is owning that part! He's pretty badass it seems to me. This should be fun. The only thing that would disappoint me is if they kill him off too fast. Bonnie fans should be happy, and a lot of them are, at the prospect of this possibility because it will mean a lot more air time for Bonnie and a for real storyline that doesn't just leech off another one that already exists or sit off in nowhere land offscreen. This is the main story of the season right here. |

I don't know where that info is coming from but I do know she's being asked about Bonnie and Kai and seems receptive to the possibility. There's a whole heck of a lot more chemistry with those two than with Damon and Bonnie that's for sure and a lot less problematic to the storylines and characters, too! |
