E! Online has some more info from Jeff Davis. S3 will see a 4 month time jump after the end of S2. He also talks a bit about the Alpha Pack: So how exactly does an Alpha pack operate? "There is a kind of leader of the Alpha pack and he is a very bad man. But there is an Alpha female as well. These are all new characters that you'll meet. They're an all new cast," Jeff teases. "The reason why they're an alpha pack and how that makes them strong will be explained in the season. There is a specific reason why they're an Alpha pack." One Alpha tidbit he would reveal? "Two of the members are twins, so it'll be fun to do that. We'll be casting for twins very soon."

I know I missed a bunch and could do with a rewatch of some of the key stuff. I don't remember him getting wings which is why I was wondering if he's in the form now that can sprout wings. He was in the body bag and when he came back out he was still the lizard form wasn't he? I never saw wings on him. Did I miss something?

They weren't googling. Earlier in the episode, Peter tore up a step on the stairs to retrieve his own bestiary. I guess Derek didn't know the family had a 'digital' one or who was keeping to books/working off memory. But just at that scene. Loved it. And Jackson never fully transitioned to the next stage. I think the fact that Derek was about to 'finish' him while he was down made Gerard awaken Jackson to deal with the gang. So we never got to see the 2nd phase.

So apparently Colton Haynes who plays Jackson is leaving the show. I don't know what that means for the show because it definitely seemed like they were planning something for Jackson for next season.

Saw this earlier but there was no official news yet so I didn't post it. Sucks to hear cause I think going forward, his character was going to improve now that he was a Werewolf. Sucks even more because he had something special about his character and history.
Wondering how they're going to handle his leaving for his character. Are they going to pull a 'Spartacus' and just recast him? Recasts always bother me on some level.

Depends on the recast really. I used to watch a soap and sometimes the recasts were better, sometimes they were worse. Recasts ruined one of my ships since they recast both characters and the new actors had zero chemistry. Then it turned out that they were actually cousins so that really ruined that ship. Spartacus was a special case and I don't think the new guy did as well from the couple of episodes I watched. There was a bunch of stuff that came out of the New York Comic Con but I don't have it handy right now.

The role for Spartacus was a role that wasn't going to be filled. Andy did too well of a job with the role and anyone trying to replace him in it was set to fail IMO (even doing the best they could). Watching S2, I just never got that same connection with the new actor and Manu (Crixus) in their rivalry and later understanding as I did with Andy playing the role. And some TW S3 details out of NYCC: SPOILERS!!!Good news is, they're actually leaving the door open for Jackson/Colton to come back so that's good to hear. EDIT: More detailed write up at i09

Most of those sounds pretty good to me. I'm just really wondering how they will handle Colton's leaving. They must have had a arc for him and now they have to start over.
I'm excited for Stiles playing detective and I'd love to see Deaton playing mentor to him. It would be interesting if they do decide to make him bisexual but please no Sterek.

"People are getting murdered again" LOL
It seems very dark this year. I wonder if this is all just the first arc of the new 24 episode season?

I'm really enjoying this season and especially the blossoming romance of Derek and Jennifer. I want to see where that goes. He's my favorite and I liked how it seems he finally showed some emotion with the death of Boyd. I also love Stiles. He's just the best for comedy relief at just the right times and has a heart of gold. I hope that wasn't foreshadowing that his Dad will die this season cause that would suck. I like how the storyline is starting to make more sense and I now get where we seem to be headed. I was a little lost at first as to what it all meant together. I'm looking forward to finding out what exactly Lydia really is with her particular talents. Teen Wolf has definitely got it together in the character building department. They're taking their sweet time but we are slowly learning more and more about each of them as we grow more attached to them. That's good writing.

***SPOILER ALERT!**
Teen Wolf panel at Comic Con. Looks like TW is going to beat TVD to the Kitsune mythology. JP may be kicking herself later if they are successful with that!

Haven't checked out any Comic-Con news for the show but I just have to say, although I hate drawing the comparison, that TW just gets so much right for me. None of the characters annoy me like TVD does (pretty much everyone does in TVD), they keep a solid pacing and solid development with pretty much everyone, there doesn't seem to be the communication issue between people like in TVD (left hand not talking to the right and fumbling as a result with plans or plots), they're steadily building up the mythos which I'm enjoying (we get something new every season it seems while hinting at or fleshing out others), etc.. It's just well rounded in all aspects. Also have to give them credit for doing/attempting fight scenes whereas with TVD, it's just a neck snap/heart ripping and we're done.
This season has been very solid in the mystery aspect with the Alpha pack and Dark Druid going on at the same time.

This season of Teen Wolf is really REALLY good...lots of supernatural stuff. It's everything I wish TVD would be now that the the triangle is over. TVD has the potential to be SO good if they went deeper into the supernatural stuff and steered away from the heavy romance angle, but I just know they are going to ruin it...so sad. Instead of being a badly written teen soap opera, this show actually gets into some serious supernatural stuff. I'm actually excited for the next episodes this season and that's not to say that every season has been this good but this one is right up my alley...loving it and I don't even really SHIP anyone strongly on it either. OK, Stiles and anyone he wants but preferably Lydia...LOL Love that kid in all his geeky anxiety ridden glory.
