Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow. Since 'Speedy' is already Thea's nickname, it's one of the other 2 but I figure they'll go with Red Arrow for starters and maybe later on transition to Arsenal. Some comic book heroes go through a lot of name changes. Like Hank Pym/Ant Man/Giant Man/Goliath/Yellowjacket/Wasp. That's one of the more extreme cases though and some bounce back and forth between them. TVGuide: The recurring role will provide a love interest for Willa Holland's Thea (who is also nicknamed "Speedy"...hmmmm), as well as some serious juice for the show's growing mythology. According to the network's breakdown on the character, in addition to falling for Ollie's little sister after crossing paths "in an unexpected way," Roy is "destined to become a significant part of her life and an important player in the larger world of Arrow."

That scene between them was just funny. I like how she just kind of rambles on when she's talking and it just comes off as awkward. Seems she was concerned about his condition as well when she was on the phone with Walter. I think since Walter is gone now, maybe we can get a push with her working with Oliver/The Hood.
Talk about taking a beating. 2 arrows in the back and then some. Oliver has shown to be good with the bow but he was getting outsmarted at the game against Tommy's dad. Wonder where he got his training from (we know he does fencing). So there is a plan in motion that in 6 month's time, will put this group on top/shape the city the way they want it and cost thousands of people their lives.
Finally got another Island flashback after not having one for the past 2 episodes. So the Chinese guy got captured by Deathstroke. Apparently, him and the Chinese guy were 2 prisoners that weren't killed/captured and somehow Deathstroke started working with the military force. Since Slade (Deathstroke) and Oliver are supposed to have some time together, maybe on the island, I wonder if he jumps sides or even helps train Oliver some alongside the Chinese guy (if he's still alive, would love to see him show up in Starling City).
I actually liked that Laurel's dad wasn't going to hang The Hood out for the copy cat and went along with helping get The Hood the evidence he needed.
Now the question is, does Oliver need help to take on the new Archer? He got spanked the first time around and I'm sure his injuries are going to set him back a bit. Dig going to have to don another suit? Or will the confrontation be left till later when Roy shows up or Huntress returns (she uses guns so...)? Will he have to get more training to better himself with the bow? I'm not even sure if it's just that. It was mostly the deception that cost him this time (nearly getting blown up following the address, losing the surprise attack, still thinking he was following the other Archer who had gotten behind him instead, etc.). We saw him use an explosive arrow this episode so maybe he'll have to make a few crafty ones to deal with this new adversary cause shooting standard arrows back and forth between the two is just going to end up in a lot of misses unless Oliver starts to predict where the guy is going to move.

I think he underestimated him and that's what got him in that predicament. Next time it won't turn out that way.

Well he knew the guy he was dealing with was serious about archery and had some skill with a bow. Could be he underestimated him, not expecting someone of *THAT* skill (someone who could dodge arrows just like him of all things).

So Oliver has been out of action for 6 weeks after getting his ass handed to him by the Dark Archer. Dig tries to get him back on track through it all ("What did that prove?" "That this is a sturdy desk." ) but Oliver comes up short against Firefly during their first encounter. Made him really want to hang it up it seems cause he realized how much he had to live for compared to his survival on the island where it was just a day to day thing. Thea was great this episode. I like how she's 'matured', at least in the way she's acted, as the series has progressed. At first, she was sneaking out, partying, doing drugs and now she seems more grounded and is actually a very solid point in keeping the family together, specifically Oliver and her mom. Laurel's father is kind of back and forth. Just when I thought he was coming around with letting Laurel keep the phone, it turns out it's just a setup to record all her conversations with the Hood. I like that the media at the very least is coming around to the 'vigilante' being a 'hero' with the reduced crime and saving lives. Oliver seeing that is doing him some good in seeing that he needs to get back on the saddle.

I know Laurels dad got me pissed off like why you so obsessed with capturing Arrow. He has saved your daughter countless times and has helped with the crime.
I really liked todays.episode. I like dig and olivers interactions and I also liked thea in this episode.

Yeah, Laurel's dad is just ugh. I thought he was being honest when he told her to keep the phone cause the Hood was always between her and danger but to only find out he took the phone momentarily to bug it made him lose some points. The Hood is reducing crime and getting at the 'big' criminals the cops don't know about or can't take down cause they're going by 'rules' and Laurel's dad is still going after him with a vengeance. The hell is that? Seriously, if Laurel's dad worked with the Hood and actually listened to Laurel on some things, the 3 of them could probably do a lot more for the crime rate. EDIT: Given his 'hard on' for bringing the vigilante down, I wonder how much of a personal conflict he'd have if Laurel does cross into the Black Canary persona and starts dealing out vigilante justice as well and even teaming up with the Hood. Would he lay off then cause his daughter is in the mix (when he finds out, he'd probably be crushed ) or would he try and get her to slip up/expose the Hood's identity? I'd like to see how he'd handle that happening.

I expect him to get killed off at some point. Probably in some 'heroic' manner where he finds out Oliver's identity and accepts it or something. And no, didn't hear about that. I've only recently checked up on news and saw that Deadshot isn't dead and is coming back (with a new look since Oliver did shoot him in one eye) to team up with China White. Looking forward to that and this news: Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), the computer expert Oliver's been consulting lately, has "a big role to play in the second half of the season," Guggenheim said. "Of course, she'll continue to be Oliver's unwitting assistant, but also remember that, thanks to Walter, she has a copy of the Second Notebook." Huffington PostSays someone else learns Oliver's identity so if it's not Roy Harper/Red Arrow, then I'm assuming either a villain or one of the expected suspects (Thea, Laurel, maybe his mom) or maybe even Felicity.

Do not read if you dont like spoilers for this show Laurel's mother, Dinah, abandoned Laurel years ago, but in Episode 16, she'll return to Starling City in the interest of reuniting with her daughter. In the comic books that inspired "Arrow," Dinah is the original Black Canary, and Laurel later takes over for her mother. Of course, in the comic books Dinah also dates Oliver Queen... which we're guessing (and hoping?) won't translate to the TV version. In other "Arrow" news, look for China White to make a few more appearances this season. Kelly Hu tells us we haven't seen the last of her character. "I can tell you that I do get to speak -- I get to talk a little bit more. And I do have a lot more action going on too," she says.

Please no spoilers or white them out. The only show I want spoilers in is TVD and of course we have threads for that.
