So im seeing too many things on tumblr that is getting on my nerves. People are saying Damon brought her back and Stefan did crap. which i DISAGREE WITH then others are saying that Damon sucks and it was Stefan who brought her back AGAIN SOMETHING I DISAGREE WITH. Damon thought of the plan of using Matt the only human tie and connection Elena had to her old self. The one that she gave her life her, her oldest friend. He used Matt in a way that was pretty awesome of course with the ring because if he would have actually killed him i wouldve been pissed but i would have gotten it but it says alot about Damon and it brought me back to when Damon faked Bonnie's death. He said I will keep Elena alive even if she hates me for it. I will always choose you etc etc. You Stefan can deal with Collateral damage. which leads me to Elena turning the switch back on and being overwhelmed with her feelings. Damon couldnt calm her down she refused to listen to him because she was overwhelmed but Stefan got through to her. He told her to focus on that one emotion that keeps her going etc. It didnt mean he was trying to get her to think of him. It was Stefan telling her HEY ive been there this is where all the feelings are coming back to you etc etc you need to focus. and he got her to finally focus. Both Brothers did their part. Matt was the key for her humanity. Makes me want to look at Matt Tarrod Card from the beginning of the season. But yea Both brothers were useful in bringing her back. I dont understand how many can still say one was more useful then the other. -_- it really annoys me sorry for the rant lol No Ruby, don't be sorry for the rant, because you are not alone with your opinion, I see it the exact way as you do, BOTH brothers did their part and Matt was the key Stefan was more calm and tried to reason her and Damon was snarky and provocative, and that was good. They both helped her in their own personal ways. On a sidenote I was LMAO when Stefan said to Caro "It's not torture, it's an intervention" Hahaha, I was like oh Stef Psychology major Crisis intervention, that was unintentionally funny for me. I can't state my opinion yet, because I have only watched once on livestream here in Germany and it was very late for me And I am having serious computer issues right now and constantly am fixing them or trying So I will state my opinion after I have watched it a second time. Talk to you guys later

Ship wars!!! Lol I agree though I think the writers actually did show brothers working together for the goal of helping her. Matt can now feel good that he helped Elena. Damon had great idea of using matt and stefen was key in getting her to stay grounded and alive. I am not sure why Elena feels like she has no one ?? She has a team.

I'm a bit too lazy at the moment to go through all the questions lol but for the scene that shocked me I'd say it was when Elena ran to the windows and pulled down the curtains and instantly burst into flames and Damon/Stefan had to rush to her and quickly put her out.
Though at the same time it's funny because Damon stood in front of a window like that without his ring and he didn't burst into flames that fast, neither did Isobel when she was standing in the sun. Elena's was instant, so that was weird. lol

Yes Elena has lost her whole family but so has matt no one fawns all over him until rebekah lol. At least Elena has everyone trying to help her all the time. Just saying but of course losing Jeremy I think was unbelievably devastating.

They had been starving her and she hadn't fully healed from them burning her so when she went in front of the windows POOF! Anyway, I really enjoyed the episode and I'm glad to see switchon!Elena back. I also really liked the Matt and Rebekah stuff.

SE's and DE's are like Democrats and Republicans. Give them an issue "who helped get Elena's humanity back" and the truth seems to disappear behind biased opinions. The truth is Matt is her last key to her humanity. Damon and Stefan are not her humanity. They are vampires. Yes she loves them but neither of them make her feel HUMAN. Matt was the human being with a beating heart that made her feel human always. He was the last person in her family and he no matter how she feels about these brothers was the first boy she loved. It may not be the same drop to your knees love but it was the first love she felt for another human being that wasn't purely family or friendship.
I think it was brilliant they used Matt. And I think it's brilliant that it was Damon's idea. Was I surprised it was Damon's plan? NAH... Damon always has the best plans. =)
As far as Stefan getting through to Elena... it's not like he got through to her because of some connection they have. I have seen this on tumblr and twitter. I'm sorry this is funny. Stefan got through to her because he said the right thing. Had it been Caroline, Damon or any other vampire he would have said the same thing because that worked for him. She focused on hate and hate alone. No brother somehow touched her more or connected with her less.
Damon knew the right plan that would work and Stefan knew the right words to say because of experience. MATT was the special thing and to make this a DE vs SE thing is ridiculous.
I'm glad everyone here is seeing it that way!
I actually really enjoyed the episode. I cried when she got her humanity back and it was because of Matt. Just wish that it had been her when Matt woke not Bekah. Not enough Steroline scenes if you ask me but I'm patiently waiting for them to make up for that. =)
And if I had to choose between Jer and Alaric I'd pick Jer. Not because I felt more emotional with Jer but because I think Jer deserves to live. He was just a kid and Bonnie and Jer need their second chance. BEREMY FEELS!
Alaric was much more sad for me and I cried like a baby. It hurt more for Alaric.

What did you Like?
The entire storyline flowed into an epic ending. BOTH Salvatore brothers were awesome!!! I liked how the old friendships were highlighted, eg when Car told Matt she had ordered the uniforms for the graduation. The look of loyalty and warmth that Matt sent her. It was so nice. El turning it back on, when Matt was dead. Another friendship plot. Loved it when Caro snapped Elenas neck, she really needed that!!! LOL!
What you did not like?
Silas haunting my girl Caro, that sneaky SOB. Kat full of herself, she is really going on my nerves, all of a sudden she is so in love with Elijah, yeah in season 2 she was so in love with Stefan. Didn't like the way she talked with Damon either. Cut the guy some slack!!!
What was your favorite scene/quote?
When Elena said to Kat"You are damaged goods" When El turned her humanity back on at last and came up with the revenge plan for Jeremy.
What scene was the most shocking to you or caught you off guard?
Liz Forbes laying on the floor. I wasn't sure if she was going to make it. We don't need another dead parent in MF. They have become a minority already.
And any additional thoughts!
Bonnie has a badass revenge plan up her sleeve, no way she is going to make Kat immortal. I could feel the hatred cooking and boiling underneath the smooth surface of Bonnies face. I am sure that Kat will die...she has no purpose anymore, Elijah dumped her and she can't go back declaring her love to Stefan etc. It makes no sense. And she has to pay... first she will pay and then Silas. Either Bon will kill her or Elena. Silas paying might be in season 5 then though.

As they recently established, Bekah and Kat are both so lonely and desperate for love that they become completely obsessed with every object of their desire. That said, I still love Kat and Elijah as well as Mabekah. At any rate, I still think Kat always loved both Elijah and Stefan but when she couldn't get Stefan back, she tried for Elijah again.
