I don't know how many here game or are aware of Skyrim or The Elder Scroll games in general.
In a nut shell, Skyrim is the latest in a series of fantasy RPG genre computer games of The Elder Scroll series. What makes this series of games so great is that the company who made them also release a construction kit so that you can customize the game to your hearts content (customized content is known as a "mod").
All fine and dandy, but how does that apply to TVD? Well a few months back I got the inspiration while playing Oblivion (previous game in the series) to try my hand at making a TVD related mod. Unfortunately, Oblivion was too dated and I couldn't get my first 3d model (Bonnie) to look right as a playable character. So I decided to wait until Skyrim was released (11/11/11).
The good news, Skyrim was released and is a fantastic game with great potential for mods and I highly recommend it to any fan of RPG games. The bad news, is that Bethesda (the creator) focused more on game consoles than PCs, so the current game has a few bugs (and patches to fix them) and to top it off, they are not releasing the Construction Kit (used to make mods) until "some time" in January and obviously I (and pretty much everyone else) have no experience with their new kit, so we're not sure what tools will be available.
Anyhow, I will still probably work on the mod whenever they release the construction kit I am just curious to see if there are any other people currently playing Skyrim or would be interested in a TVD themed version. Below are the 3d models I did with Bonnie to make her a playable character.
P.S. I am accepting any and all pictures of the main cast (I need clean head shots as well as good profile shots (either left or right). I also need any good pictures of memorable places or buildings you think should be included in a TVD themed game

I'm playing Skyrim but on the 360 so I can't use any mods. Console version is just as buggy.
What you have there looks good.
PS: I Love your sig.

Yeah, PC has gone through everything from missing skills to backwards flying dragons lol. Thankfully their patches have helped, just wish they would release the CK sooner so we could do our own fixes lol.
Thank you! Yeah, the speed on my sig is off since I uploaded, but it works for now lol

The wall around Whiterun completely disappeared once. I had to re-do a part of a quest 4 times because the NPC that was part of the quest wouldn't get out the the attack animation after the we killed the enemy.

So have they offered any patches for the 360? I heard the PS3 players got it tough. If Bethesda would release the construction kit, we could self-police all of our issues like we did with Oblivion

Yeah, there' s been a few of patches for the 360 (including a day 1 patch). I think one of the patches made the dragons fly backwards so they patched that patch. I'm not sure what all they've fixed. I've heard that about the PS3 version - they've also been patching it. I'll might eventually get it for PC but I'll wait until a Game of the Year edition with all the DLC plus a sale. I've heard the MOD community for Bethesda games are pretty amazing.

Yeah, the mods that come out for the PC are amazing. I don't know if you ever played Oblivion, but it was out for so long, that people actually revamped the ENTIRE world (most notably Nehrim and a Lord of the Rings remake) so that the base game wasn't even recognizable other than the engine.
The one brilliant thing Bethesda did on Skyrim is they included the world outside of Skyrim itself (you just cant get to it unless you turn off your border restriction). So I pretty much have an entire world to walk around and figure out where I want to put Mystic Falls (get the bonuses of Skyrim without all the snow lol)
But I agree, if you don't already have the PC version.. waiting for the Game of the Year edition is a really smart move.

I've played the Assassin's Creed games, Red Dead Redemption, GTA 4. I'm forgetting some but I also have a PS3 so I'm trying to remember which game I have for which system. I don't have Live so I don't bother with any multi-player games.

I like the Elder Scrolls world better.

Yeah, you honestly didn't miss much. I played through NV and it felt exactly like I was playing FO3 all over again. At least you can feel the difference between Skyrim and Oblivion lol
And I agree.. I know the world ended, there was radiation and mutations everywhere, but it was just so bland lol

(waiting for future soldier) Red dead was okay.. didn't have anything on GTA.
Multi-players are my favorite but I haven't played anything in a while...
