This is kinda of an oldish spoiler, but I figured I'd post anyways.
Oh, hiatus. You’ve been a torment. What’s worse than suffering through Vampire Diaries-free Thursdays is hearing all the hints about what will be going down in Mystic Falls when the show returns in January. Who are we kidding? We love this stuff. Which is why we’re particularly psyched to hear we’ll be introduced to yet another Original in Season 3, Episode 13, TV Line reports.
While you might think it’s Stefan (Paul Wesley) undaggering some of the O.V.s in his newly stolen coffins, we’ll actually meet Finn — Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) brother — in a 1491 flashback. If you remember the last time we visited that era, Katerina (Nina Dobrev) was turned by Rose and met the two Original bros, Klaus and Elijah. Well, Finn will encounter Kat a full year before then. Wasn’t there another significant event around this time? Could this O.V. be the father of Katerina’s baby? Does Elena (Nina Dobrev) have Original blood running through her veins? We have months to speculate on this, people… (Source: www.wetpaint.com/the-vampire-diaries/articles/vampire-diaries-spoilers-will-we-meet-another-original-sibling-soon)

Now this is an interesting spoiler. What if originals CAN reproduce? After all, killing them is a trickier business than your average vampire, so maybe there are other significant differences.

Yeah, I definitely think it's possible, but I also think that if they go this way, it might be them laying down ground for a route that they want or may want to go in the future.

Ten Things About The Vampire Diaries “The New Deal”
1. Bonnie! The first person we see in the episode is Kat Graham as Bonnie. She was absent for a good portion of the first half of the season so it's nice to see her again. It's also nice to see her back in her spot as one of Elena's closest friends and confidantes. Unfortunately, after the first few minutes she's not in the episode all that much, but it's a good start.
2. Jogging. In this episode, Elena goes out for a jog. With all the danger she faces in Mystic Falls and everywhere else, why would she ever go out alone? Doesn't she know better?
3. Hair. Either I've gotten used to Damon's hair growing out or he finally got a little bit of a haircut. Damon doesn't resemble Joyce DeWitt quite so much anymore.
4. Jeremy and Tyler. They finally hang out again in the woods, and the flirting begins anew, at least for a good scene or two. Matt's going to feel left out...
Jeremy is kind of a mixed bag for me at this point. When he's got a crossbow, he's kind of cool. When he's around his family and being bratty, he's kind of annoying. It also appears somewhere around the middle of the episode that he's going to do something really, really stupid. Ultimately, I still do think that he is more fun when he's being haunted by his awesome dead ex-girlfriends.
5. And speaking of Tyler... The others, especially Elena, confront him about his current predicament and devotion to Klaus. (Sadly, Caroline is not there either.)
6. Damon is always awesome when he's annoyed. I don't really have to explain this, do I? And although Damon will complain when he does something uncomfortable, he does face some discomfort to help others. The character is really becoming redeemed, and I like that. When the series started, it was Stefan who had been rehabilitated into a compassionate person; now, whether he likes it or not, Damon cares for Elena, and therefore, seems to now be looking out for much more than himself.
7. Shippers will be happy. Which shippers? The CW gods said not to tell... but I can say at least three fan-groups get to see their favorite characters interacting. The choice of names that Klaus lists as "Elena's loved ones" is also particularly interesting. And some shippers might want to get their screen-capturing software handy.
8. New characters. Klaus has a hybrid doing his dirty work and the character is kind of annoying. The new character of Dr. Fell, however, is very one that I hope to see more of. She is played by Torrey Devitto of Pretty Little Liars fame.
9. Heartbreaking decisions. At least one character makes a decision affecting someone else, perhaps for their own good.
10. "None of us are going to get out of this town alive." With my luck this is probably in one of the episode previews, but in case it's not, I'm not going to say who delivers this line... which is pretty much the predicament I see the characters in right now. Look at all of Elena's relatives who have died so far. And yet, there are surely still a few seasons to go.
All the parts I've bolded are sure to be freakout/fangirl moments. I. CAN'T. WAIT.[/b]

You took the words right out of my mouth. I am however very much looking forward to Damon kicking Stefan's ass again! Also...it is a definite that we will be getting some naked Damon at some point. I don't care under what circumstance that happens either! There is NO such thing as bad naked Damon.

MORE SPOILERS The Vampire Diaries has been on hiatus for what feels like forever. After a stellar first half of the season, we've had to wait to see the outcome of Stefan stealing the Originals' remaining coffins. Well, I'm here to tell you that episode 10 of The Vampire Diaries, titled "The New Deal" and airing on January 5, is a solid return for the show. Here's what you can expect to see when The Vampire Diaries returns next week. Elena & Stefan Are Not Sitting in a Tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G: Elena is very, very angry with Stefan after the events of the previous episode. When Bonnie asks Elena about her wayward boyfriend, Elena resolutely declares that Stefan "betrayed us". The two of them do interact in this episode, but will the outcome be what Stelena fans had hoped for? Elena also takes a few large and unexpected steps in this episode without consulting her allies. Damon's Got His Sad Face On: He may be a rogue, but Damon genuinely loves his brother, as we all know. Elena understands how much he's grieving after Stefan screwed up their plan in the previous episode and when he finally meets up with Stefan again, he lets him know how angry and grief-stricken he is. Jeremy's Gone Rogue: Jeremy's gotten a little unstable since he was forced to give up Anna and his relationship with Bonnie ended. Alaric is concerned because he's been cheating in school and both he and Elena are surprised when they learn he was fired from the Grill. He's been spending his down-time hanging out with Tyler, which his family isn't too pleased about. But Jeremy hasn't lost all his reason and quickly catches on to what's happening in Mystic Falls. This new, more proactive Jeremy is even armed with a cross-bow and a really big knife. Tyler's Loyalties Are Questioned: When Jeremy gets huffy with his sister and Alaric for their concern, he decides to invite Tyler inside for dinner. Elena and Alaric are both extremely wary of Tyler and his motivations because he was sired by Klaus. They ask him to explain his connection to the Original, but aren't pleased with his answers. After all, as Elena says, "Klaus has terrorized every one of us and you're just blindly loyal to him". "You're over-thinking it. I can still make my own decisions", Tyler shoots back, upset that they're questioning his choices like Caroline did. Can you, though, Tyler? It will soon become clear whose side Tyler is on. Klaus is Back....With a Vengeance: Elena's paranoid that Klaus hasn't yet made a move since the Homecoming dance, but that soon comes to an end when the Original stops by for a drink at the Grill. He tells the duo that he's looking for Stefan, but Elena tells him his problem lies with her old squeeze, not them. Oh yeah, and he's also kind of concerned about his missing sister. But Klaus is done playing games and confronts Damon at the Salvatore house, telling him exactly how Stefan stole his family members andthat he wants Damon's help in retrieving them. When Damon reminds Klaus that he doesn't exist to do his bidding, Klaus decides "...a demonstration is in order. It seems you people respond best to displays of violence." You should be concerned. Klaus is not fooling around. Bonnie's a VIP: Despite being absent for a while at the beginning of this season of The Vampire Diaries, Bonnie is the first person we see in this episode, mostly because she's dreaming of the Originals' coffins, without realizing what her dreams mean. But she soon gets involved in the entire situation and her witchy powers are once again called on. Say Hello to Dr. Fell: Pretty Little Liars' Torrey Devitto (who is also the wife of Paul Wesley) comes to The Vampire Diaries! She first meets with Alaric in the Mystic Falls hospital and is shocked at his healing abilities. Her scenes are short in this episode, but she'll be sticking around for a while and I suspect we'll be seeing more of her. Foreshadowing?: Jeremy angrily declares what may turn out to be true. After they all become aware of the lengths Klaus will go to in order to retrieve his family members, Jeremy wisely suggests they skip town. "None of us are gonna make it out of this town alive", he concludes. One has to wonder whether that will turn out to be true. With The Vampire Diaries, you never know. Two Shockers: While some actions in this episode are surprising, the two most unexpected events take place in the last five minutes and I think we'll be seeing the repercussions for a while. Watch a trailer for the January 5 episode of The Vampire Diaries here and make sure to tune in for this episode on Thursday, January 5 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW!
