Slash, How are you? It's been so long. Klaus wanting his family back is so laughable to me. Now that he has killed their father and put Rebekah down again he plans to reunite with the siblings that he put down for the big sleep because they took away his toy, didn't want to play his games, or took his favorite toy away. I hope he frees them all and then they kill him. He is the worst brother, son friend ever. Because with him you don't need enemies. Should complicate things if Caroline falls for him. You have Bonnie mad at Elena for getting rid of Jeremy/taking away his choice and then you're about to have Caroline possibly siding/falling for Klaus. Caroline might just want to get away from all the 'sired' crap that Tyler is going through too. Klaus is just going to turn everyone to his side if Stefan doesn't give his family back. He seems to have already done so with the Council and now Liz. Now he's working on friends. Tyler is under his thumb, he's working on Caroline and given his history with Witches, I wonder when he'll tempt Bonnie with something. "I don't want trouble, I just want my family back." That seems to be his current Go-To line. Bored is how I've been Klaus doesn't like to be disappointed but him putting Bekah back down isn't his fault. He has something he doesn't want to fess up to with Bekah and I think Bekah's ability to see through lies is why he doesn't want to concern himself with that problem when the rest of the family is missing. Still, she'll have to be awakened if he wakes the others. They'll be asking where she's at and why she's not awake and if he thinks dealing with Bekah alone was going to be a problem, he'll have his hands full dealing with 3 Brothers (or 2 Brothers and 1 other Sister). If his Hybrids can't do squat against someone like Stefan, Damon, or Jeremy, they'll be mince meat against 3 other Originals bent on finding out why their Sister is absent. As far as killing him goes, that's kind of what I thought before all the Mikael stuff/S3 started. I had imagined the Original family would end up putting him down in some major battle and I guess it could still happen. If they wake up Bekah, wake up the other Originals and explain the cave paintings to them too, it could spark a war in the family where Klaus is fighting those he's longed to have back in his life. It'd be quite poetic. Klaus is trying to turn the town and some friends against Elena & Damon and there is the possible chance that with the seed of possible truth planted by Elena in Bekah's mind about her mother, Klaus' family could turn against him just the same. The 'worst son' part, we really don't know the entire relationship with his parents to say that. With his Father, you can hardly fault him for the way he's acted. His current personality may as well be a by-product of his relationship with his parents and from the abuse we've seen his Father dish out to him and the supposed shunning by his Mother, he's not exactly in a happy place.

The fact that he has killed both his parental figures no matter the reason still has to put him in the worst son category in my book. I understand the argument we don't know the entire back story on him and his parents but his dad was hard on him as so many were back then. Boo hoo! His mom shunned him as a mother may be prone to do after you get her baby killed. Klaus was the oldest and he was supposed to use better judgment than sneaking out to watch the wolves transform with his younger brother in tow. Again maybe it's not right but I understand if his mother had some resentment towards him after that. I'm still hoping that there will be an inter-familial war ending in the demise of Klaus. What I still find to be the largest irony is that the parents turned their kids into vampires after one was mauled to death by a werewolf and it's still the werewolf bite that can kill them. His father has tried to kill him for a thousand years. For what reason, we don't know. He was fine with leaving Mikael in a cemetery but since the gang awakened him and Mikael was looking to once again kill him, Klaus killed him instead. Klaus had the added factor of being the child of an affair. When that came to light, who's to say she didn't change her attitude a bit towards him just to keep Mikael off her back? And who knows how long Klaus has been sneaking out to watch the Wolves. If he's been doing it for a few months with no trouble (cause the Wolves sense that part of him), he may have decided to take his little brother along to show him there was no harm in it and it turned out bad, quite different from his own experiences. His 'judgment' is questionable because the details are questionable. His mom's decision in shunning him though...debatable. Klaus already had enough stress/abuse put on him from Mikael and then you have the other parental figure turning a blind eye to him? Parents showing little to no love to their son is damaging, especially when one figure has been doing it for years already and said son has found some comfort in the other figure being there, only to shut him out now. Klaus is one of those few rare cases for me where I do hate him at times but also feel like he's pretty tragic in his own right and still like him, despite the crap he's done.

I fell no sympathy for him and we do know why Mikael was trying to kill Klaus. He knew Klaus killed his wife and framed him for it. I'd like to think so but either something else is up or the Writers just rushed through Mikael. Why didn't Mikael explain his side of the story to Bekah or why didn't she ask? With Klaus keeping Bekah dagger'd because of what she knows, we're to believe Klaus did have a hand in killing Mother.

Something that's been bothering me as of late but why didn't Klaus just build an army of Vampires instead of waiting on the Hybrids? There is a pretty sizable gap in time between when he thought up this plan and when it actually got to a satisfying point of him becoming a Hybrid and being able to make them. He was gathering Witches over the years so why not amass an army of Vampires instead of Hybrids? The sire bond and their undying loyalty to him? He could have surrounded himself with Vampires that would be 600-700 years old and have the experience that his Hybrids lack.
I actually thought initially this was his fascination with Stefan: the Ripper aspect. I mean, from what Lexi said when she first met Stefan and for her to know a way to help you, you would have to assume that Stefan is a rarity but there are more out there like him that lose themselves in blood. I imagined that Klaus had a group of 'Rippers' he was gathering and Stefan was to join them but Stefan's entire role was nothing more than a tag along partner for Klaus who was craving the company of an old acquaintance. If Klaus had a bunch of Rippers who were compelled to his every whim, imagine Stefan x 20+, all walking around with no care for anyone else and 5-6 times Stefan's age, never having been on the wagon or having been off it for the past few centuries. That's more of a game plan IMO.

I'm so beyond sick of Klaus and JP's stupid desire to romanticize every villain on the show. I hope he isn't the one who sired Damon and Stefan so they can hurry up and get him off the show.

Personally, I think that Klaus is insecure. He has a need for somebody to be unquestionably loyal to him. "Like horses". It's almost an obsession. You can't really blame him for it. As mentioned, it could have been a by-product of all that he has been through - being turned at such an age and having been rejected by both parents. I think that Klaus liking Caroline helped reveal more layers. It made it more obvious that he is capable of feelings and revealed certain things when he confided in Caroline. Or more like Caroline insulted him hehe. Also, JP doesn't go as far as to make Klaus do anything for her - Klaus is still in character and his feelings for her are not very deep. It also showed how Klaus is someone who gets everything he wants and he sees Caroline as a challenge.
