I dont really ship a certain brother in vampire diaries. I really believe im Team Vampire Diaries haha, so when I think of Stefan going in for revenge, i agree with the whole concept that he's taking advantage of not letting his feelings all in completely. He is doing what Katherine told him to do get mad. Right now that is the emotion he let in that Klaus has been stripping him from everything. I feel he really feels like that. He lost Elena to save Damon bc that was the ultimatum that Klaus Gave him. Klaus made him turn into his Ripper Self again. Then made him go back to Mystic Falls to attack the one person he never wanted to attack or abuse, turned off his humanity and made him a slave to him to then wanting to kill Damon again if anything happened to him, ruining the plan to finally get rid of him.
Stefan has lost alot of himself so i see why he is acting on crazy right now like Damon put it. I dont think stefan has done more then damon and vice versa. They have both been very protective when it comes to it
Stefan has been the only one to beat Klaus at his own game FOR NOW. and that was something that Damon wasnt even jealous of. He was very proud of his baby brother even disagreeing with Elena about it lol
So I like how stefan is right now and Im excited how his storyline is playing out because after this is all done and klau is gone(i dont want him to ever die haha) i really dont think Stefan is going to go running back to Elena. They will end up building that back up till its tiime.

Gonna bump this thread a bit. Getting kind of sick of Stefan's attitude since he found out about the kiss, mainly as seen in tonight's episode. His 'jabs' at Elena/Damon about the other are just annoying. I know he's hurt by what happened but really?

I don't even think I should get started in this thread. Oh, please do. Well, if you say so. Stefan acted like a bratty child tonight. He has the NERVE to say he doesn't trust Damon because he kissed Elena? He has the GALL to question why Elena asked him if he killed that guy after what he's done this season? And then to tell Elena to ask Damon if he killed him? He has the bloody nerve to question why Damon would save Stefan because without him, Damon would have a clear path to Elena? Seriously? I never doubted Stefan's love for Elena until this season. I didn't care for it , but I didn't doubt it. Now I really question it. Elena begging Stefan to save Jeremy didn't move him. Elena sobbing after he tried to drive her off the same bridge her parents died and she nearly did didn't move him. But Elena saying she kissed Damon and didn't feel guilty somehow makes him remember he 'loves' her. This situation with Klaus is all his own doing. Him saying that Klaus took everything from him is complete and utter BS. Did he just forget the months and months Damon and Elena fought to save him from Klaus? He never lost anything until he threw them away. Even on the bridge when he whined that he had nothing left Elena still said that he had her. His feeling are hurt because Elena might be moving on? You lost that right when you fed her your blood and tried to drive her off the a bridge. AND THEN HE LEFT HER THERE IN TEARS.

Stefan has always been a hypocrite. It's something I have a hard time overlooking because I abhor people like that in real life, the type who will point out everything wrong with you while they are doing plenty wrong themselves.

There really is just something about Damon that gets under the guy's skin. Just the idea that Damon could have an interest in Elena brought out an ugly side of him (I think this was the Ripper peeking out kind of like we still get a glimpse here and there of the old Stefan in the Ripper). He started 'mud-slinging' by telling Elena Damon is bad, Damon does this, Damon eats children, Damon is wrong for you. Damon doesn't stoop to that level when he knows his Brother is worse. Damon didn't mention the Ripper at all to her until it was discovered in a journal/Stefan told her and even then, Damon tried to keep that aspect of his Brother hidden from Elena.
The way he's acting now after finding out about the kiss though, after he said he was done with Elena and that Damon was supposed to protect her, etc. is what bothers me. I don't have a problem that Stefan still loves her but 'actions speak louder than words' and his actions haven't shown that lately. He doesn't have a right to start tossing this crap in their faces every time he has a conversation with them now. It's petty and childish. He needs to realize he's been wrong in all this and that any ground gained by Damon lately is solely because of his own direct actions.

It's just the competitive nature of their relationship. I gotta wonder if they will ever get past it. Of course this loving the same woman thing isn't going to make that happen any time soon. But even in the woods when they are talking about Damon saving Stefan this time and Damon tells Stefan he didn't do it for him....deja vu much?
That's exactly what Stefan told him after Mikael was going tp rip Damon's heart out. I mean is it so hard for these two to admit they care about each other, even love each other and would actually want to save each others lives because of that? I just had to laugh watching that because right there is the heart of their relationship and the root of their issues with each other, their inability to admit they care/love each other. They have this love/hate/competitive thing going on and they're real good at the hate and competitive part of it, but neither one of them will admit to the love.

The 'admittance' is in the actions. Stefan is supposedly out of it but even in this state, his love for his Brother is apparent when the situation calls for it (Mikael with his hand in Damon's chest, Klaus' plan to have his Hybrids kill Damon). It seems to be the only time when the 'love' shows through and then right after that, they're back to their usual banter and fighting. They just *HAVE* to find some ulterior motive for the other doing something for them such as saving their life as if the love for their Brother just isn't a possible reason. "You're only doing it for Elena/I didn't do it for you" is getting kind of old to me but I understand that part of their problem is the 'same girl' being in the equation. Both of them love Elena, both loved Katherine. We won't see any progress until they have some extended time on their own without Elena or until both of them have a girl to call their own that the other isn't fixated on as well.

I'm not sure. This has been the way they've communicated ever since the rift over Katherine, so for 145 freaking years! They'd rather communicate with their fists and by antagonizing each other. I mean they go back and forth with the jabs, verbal and physical and that's where they are stuck.

Elena wants to do them some good, sign them up for couple's/family therapy. They *NEED* some help Better yet, Elena should ask the Originals to chain the 2 of them up in a room (that dungeon) and have them talk it out and they can't come out till they do

Hilarious idea! It's too funny thinking of those two in therapy though. Can you imagine? Now the other idea, I think they'd just tear each other apart repeatedly.

A sort of 'intervention' And they won't tear each other apart if they're chained up, facing each other no further than about a foot apart Elena could even pick the topics to discuss. I think by the time they're through, nothing will be accomplished and Elena will have had an earful of verbal abuse.
