It sounds like Ian is going to Idaho for his Christmas break. His Dad hinted that it wouldn't be a place with sun and sand nor Loiusiana, but they might get snow flurries and now Ian mentions mountains so I think that makes it clear. He's going to visit his sister in Idaho. I like Idaho. I used to live out that way.
