God was truly working overtime the day he created Ian.

The man literally glows. He's perfection. If I had the choice to pick an angel to take me to heaven, he'd look like that picture up there. That's literally what I was thinking looking at it. Of course I have more devilish thoughts in mind...

One day recently I was re-reading some portions of The Formation of Hell and The Origin of Satan, both excellent reads btw.
For the past ten or more years, whenever I think of Lucifer, it is Ian's face that I see.
Before being cast out heaven he was the most beautiful thing ever created by God.
Of course being that beautiful and adored by God caused him to become arrogant and ultimately led to his demise.

Ezekiel 28:12-19,
"...Thus saith the Lord God;
Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;
Every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx,
and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of
Thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so:
thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created......."

If this is the way God felt about him, is it any wonder he became so full of pride?

but the beautiful angel Lucifer...yeah he wears Ian's face in my mind.
