I guess he'll have to see if an owner is looking for it first. It's funny how his pets find him. My parents are the same way. All their pets have just come to them out of nowhere, like it's meant to be.

In case you never saw this video of Ian officiating at his assistant Jessica's wedding here it is. Someday Ian will find his future wife and he will appreciate her all the more for having had to search so long and hard for her. I love Ian's speech to them in this. He's the best!

Wow, Ian just let loose on The Originals, not that I disagree with a single word he said, but he basically said other than himself, all the good actors are leaving the show and we may wind up with some new crappy actors to take their place. I can't blame him really. I don't like the giant turnover either and I hope the new actors aren't complete crap as well. But I still loled at his bluntness in this interview and how he said everyone on the CW has to be pretty but alot of pretty people can't act, but he can. hahaha...too funny and unfortunately too true. He's the best actor on the show. After that there's a steep dropoff in acting ability in my opinion. Ian is really too good for this show and he already carries the darn thing! I hope this isn't because he's eye rolling at the new people he's having to work with and we will, too. Ian may have been preparing us for some not so good acting coming our way. Let's hope not! One April Young is enough! Exclusive: 'Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder: I'm not thrilled about The Originals Published Thursday, Aug 22 2013, 12:12pm EDT | By Emma Dibdin Ian Somerhalder has admitted that he is "not thrilled' about The Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals. The spin-off series will debut this October, and centres on the Mikaelson siblings Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Speaking to Digital Spy, Somerhalder revealed that he is concerned that the spin-off may take strong actors away from The Vampire Diaries. "I'm excited for Julie [Plec], and for Joseph and all my people," Somerhalder began, "but I'm a selfish actor - I'm not a producer on the show, I'm not a writer. My only concern is Damon, and my show. "Now, they're going to be taking these characters that mean so much to our show. I'm insanely happy for everyone, but I'm not thrilled. Not that I mind sharing, I just don't want to lose all these amazing actors on our show." Somerhalder went on to explain that he also worries about The Vampire Diaries being forced to introduce too many new characters, to make up for the absence of Morgan, Gillies and Holt. "Who are the other people who are gonna be coming on the show? Are they gonna be good? Because it's The CW, and everyone has to be pretty, and there aren't a lot of pretty people that can act well. "I'm not joking! I'm one of them, that can act well. Not to sound s**tty about it, but casting is always tough. I feel like they worked so hard on casting this show... and hopefully they just continue to put great actors in." With not enough familiar faces and too many new faces maybe something could get lost along the way and DVD might suffer. The Russian lady who coaches Ian is also correct Hollywood has a lot of pretty people who cannot act, they are ten a penny, therefore, Ian's decision to continue to learn his craft is the right one and he excells as the troubled, broody, complex and misunderstood person as we saw in Young Americans, Changing Hearts, LOST and TVD. Therefore, it sounds to me as if Ian is expressing concerns that the new crop of actors may not be as up to parr as some of the actors that have gone before and this will reflect in the show.

Wow, I never even thought of that. He's totally right though, some of those actors on CW just stun me at how bad they are. I hope no one takes offense because it is a popular show, but one example I have in mind was Beauty and the Beast. I tried so hard to get into it but WOW how bad the acting and script is amazed me -- yet all the actors are good looking the show has a second season coming out.
Also, why do people not like April Young? I thought she was an okay character. She wasn't that bad, seemed sweet.

Ian article with video: www.cntraveler.com/daily-traveler/2013/08/video-ian-somerhalder-family-home-louisianaIan Somerhalder to Inspire a New Generation of Conservationists Ian Somerhalder is known primarily for his steely blue gaze and starring role in The Vampire Diaries, but did you know that the star is also a passionate environmental activist? In 2010, Somerhalder launched the Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF), which empowers young people to start environmental projects—which is why we've named him one of this year's Conde Nast Traveler Visionaries. He talks more about his foundation in the video below.

Another one of those stories about Ian's big heart...6 kittens were found and he is paying to get them taken care of. This tweet is from Devon Haas the 8 year old girl who is a volunteer with ISF Kids Army and a friend of Ian's. From: @devonhaas Last night I tweeted about the kittens. So if you didn't see it go look at my tweets. They were found in Atlanta abandoned in a box by 3 ISF volunteers. They aren't from Atlanta and they're just visiting on vacation so they didn't know what to do with the kittens. So I talked to Ian about what to do with the kittens. Ian isn't even in Atlanta right now. He said to have them take the kittens to the doctor and he's going to pay for all of them to get fixed up and he's going to find homes for all of them. That's the Ian I know. That's the Ian that made ISF. That's the Ian that loves the world. He is the nicest person. He's not just some actor on a tv show. He's a person with the biggest biggest heart and I love him so much Video of the kittens: http://instagram.com/p/dXaMsuk9Rn
