Psycho Meredith and the Medical Examiner

-So what's up with Psycho Meredith and the dead medical examiner?

-Did she kill him or not?

-Does she really just use the vampire blood to heal patients or is there more to it?

-Or maybe someone else knows about her using vamp blood on patients are trying to send her a message?

MORE IMPORTANTLY- DID SHE GIVE ALARIC HIS RING BACK??? I have a sneaking suspicion that she didn't. Though I can't really tell.

I thought she didn't get the ring? I thought she attempted to take it off when he said what it does but he stopped her from doing so. Might have to watch again if she indeed did take it from him =\

And I suspect she's up to something more. The fact that she was ballsy enough to 'blood jack' Damon as she did and knew he should have been out for hours (meaning she's done it before), I think there is something more to what she's doing and I think Bill's dumb ass coming in when he did was just a "I'm doing good" gesture to Alaric. I mean, she was wondering how Alaric got up and walked out of the hospital after his accident and the next thing you know, without actually knowing any concrete details, she's blood jacking Damon and giving his blood to someone. I think she knows more and is kind of just playing stupid (I didn't 'believe' her reaction to finding out Alaric was a Hunter).

We've yet to find out exactly why she carries the warning tag of 'Psycho'. She signed off on the Medical Examiner's body as Damon mentioned so...stay safe Alaric. Damon's got your back on this one.

He stopped her from taking the ring. And What I want to know is how exactly does she cheat? Does that mean she does some vampire hunting herself? She had access to vervain so its like hmmmm

Yeah she never got the ring off his finger, not for lack of trying. That right there would have made me wonder why she tried. Then she says, "Are you afraid I'm supernatural?" and he says, "You never know," or something like that.

I guess we just don't have enough information yet to know much about what her story is, but I think Damon took it a little too well being blood jacked. Tsk tsk Damon turning your back on a psycho...bad idea. Hopefully he won't make that mistake again because I'm sure she'll need more blood soon.

I have this wild idea that she's sort of working on some formula to find a permanent cure for impending death using vampire blood as the pattern and that's what she's really up to, but that's totally just my own crazy notion.

So then it could be manufactured instead of always needing a new supply from a vampire. The ex bf would know about her extra curricular activities in that regard and might think her psycho for wasting her time on it.

I also read she is Logan Fell's cousin. Actually Julie Plec tweeted it so that's their relationship, which is still pretty close and she may not be so happy when she finds out Alaric killed him.

I think she'd need some magic to manipulate the blood. The Vampire blood + death triggers the ability to come back to life but if the process could be readjusted for the person to come back without the craving for blood or need to feed to 'stay alive', then you've effectively recreated what the Gilbert Ring does. Only problem is, I think wearing some jewelry is easier/safer than having to constantly inject yourself unless it takes on the 1-time deal like dying with Vampire blood in your system does and you're 'safe' after 1 death.

Meredith is a supe in the books so who knows. Just don't want her using Alaric and then tossing him aside, especially since Alaric is still kind of in a rough place over the Jenna thing.

This topic has spurred the idea of introducing a 'Blood Mage' of sorts. Maybe she steals blood to use magic (more potent/extreme magic that uses the blood as an amp instead of a Witch's base magic). Although, none of this adds up to her saving life if she takes it to do magic... Just an entirely different branch of Witch and we really have nothing to go off of for Meredith.

Well she is a vampire hunter of sorts, except she's harvesting the vampires blood rather than killing them and we don't even really know if she doesn't generally kill them when she's done taking their blood. She appears to be handy with a stake, if it was indeed her that killed the ME.

She was obviously well prepared to take down Damon with her vervain injection in her pocket already and she had determined he was a vampire but she didn't kill him.

Here's an interesting thought, she could turn people into vampires, then harvest, then kill them as vamps. The theory being, for her, one life for many lives but this is a longshot. It didn't appear her ex was a vampire when he was staked, however, ie no gray veiny skin so there's no evidence of this being a possibility yet.

I think Damon might have let Meredith vervain him, to prove his point with Alaric. I'm probably wrong on that though.

I do not trust her at all. AT ALL. She vervained Damon and tried to steal Alaric's ring. She is up to no good.
