I'm just being Captain Obvious here but did anyone else notice that the 'victims' that got stabbed and lived (Bill/Alaric) claimed that someone came up from behind them so they didn't see who did it, but they were stabbed from the front? They had knives sticking out of their dang abdomens...wth? From behind? Just thought I'd mention this because I found it quite funny.  |

Knocked them out and then propped them up before gutting them?
And Alaric's scene looked like there was a fight so how did he not get a look? And if it's not a fight/struggle, did he get stabbed and just climbed the stairs?

Yeah for some reason he went up the stairs...  I guess he left an open container of Chunky Monkey up there. |

Guessing he left his keys upstairs or they have a cordless phone and that's where it last was and he was trying to get to it. I don't know...unless the blood on the wall isn't just his but the attacker but then that raises the question once again: how didn't he get a look?

Yea i didn't get that either. How the heck can he get stabbed from behind but caught in the front and yet no one has seen them. I thought it would be a vampire and somehow compelled them not to remember but that would not apply to Bill since he can resist compulsion and Alaric has vervain. Also if it was a vampire, it would have to be a vampire who was invited in to Elena's house. Which would only leave Katherine.
I think a vampire is compelling a human to do the work. Maybe this Old Samantha Gilbert or Sage is behind the chaos.
