Sheesh I hope Elena isn't going to try to drive off Wickery bridge and kill herself or something. What the what? ? Well it has to be something to do with Elena dontcha think, for him to say something like that? The series could still go on otherwise, not that it would happen but I could see her in some crazy fit of, "It's all my fault," trying to off herself to save the town and not come between the brothers anymore. Technically it is because of her that all of it is happening, and if she gets to thinking along those lines...but we know she'd be saved, prolly by one if not both Salvatores. The problem is they could cliffhanger the season on something like that and tick me off. Sadly, I'd already thought of this prior to this tweet...as a distinct possibility, either her doing it herself or Klaus taking her down with him.

Hmm unless when she tries to kill herself off the bridge and then Stefan saves her she has the flashback to the first time he saved her? But wait wouldn't the flashback be Stefan's flashback since I don't think Elena remembered full details did she?

That thought crossed my mind as well and what if it was Stefan who actually caused the accident to begin with? It's kind of a coincidence that he happened to be there.

Honestly, I think that's just Ian f ing with us. Oddly enough (considering S2) Elena doesn't strike me as the suicidal type. I think more will come out of the accident like exactly why Stefan was there. With Jeremy coming back, I think their parents might try to contact Jer and Elena through Jer and provide more details on the accident.

What if this.... She drives off. She finally remembers the accident in a flash back as she is drowning... She remembers Stefan's face saving her. He pulls her out she opens her eyes sees him and remembers then the whole scene goes away because wait someone is saving her yet again. She feels arms wrapping around her and pulling her to the surface. She finally opens her eyes once out of the water. IT'S DAMON!!!!!
This would sooooo be meaningful. It would mean Stefan was in the past and Damon is the future. That Stefan saved her from herself when her parents died and she needed him for that. She needed Stefan to reveal who she was and what her world meant to her but as she was discovering it all she fell for Damon. She has been wavering on her feelings holding on to Stefan but maybe just maybe she doesn't need Stefan anymore.
Maybe she needs Damon and like Matt and her laid her former self to rest...it's almost as if she gets a rebirth by it being Damon this time saving her. A new chance. She knows who she is and what world she lives in. It's like a BIG do over!

Whatever is going to happen it seems like it's going to be big, unexpected and possibly change the course of the direction of the show from all I keep reading, the hints that are being put out there. Either that or it's just a big PR campaign and it's not really going to be all that much of a biggie. But check this out: Jeane Wongâ€@jeanewong
Yelling OMFG at my computer though I already knew the plot twist. It's that good guys.Jeane Wong is asst to the writers/script coordinator.

I don't mind unexpected surprises as long as they don't involve Damon getting treated like garbage or similar things that make me angry happening about/to Damon. I'm a little concerned about all this 'emotional moment' stuff with Stefan, not so much because it might be SE, because I really and truly feel like that's dead now and it's only a matter of time until Stefan and Elena realize it, but that they might do something to Damon that I don't like.
It would really suck if we came all this way in season 3 only to have them trash it all by making Damon do something considered 'unforgiveable,' because of course it's only unforgiveable because it's HIM doing it. If Stefan were to do it, nobody would blink, but I digress.
Also they can leave the cheap scares of maybe so and so is dead. If it's one of the three in the triangle it's impossible that they'd be dead for real unless they were leaving the show and then the entire show would be in peril of being canceled. But none of these ideas are really 'shocking' so it seems to me to be shocking it would have to be something we'd never expect to happen at all, a complete blindside.

Don't read it if you don't want to be spoiled on the books!!!Anbu's Malach theory could hold up. In the books the malach had possessed a bunch of people to do weird stuff. Imagine if they were to integrate something like that in MF? What if Sage brings that sort of presence to town with her? That could wreak all sorts of havoc. Killing off the council would be a first step to taking over a town. I would hope they wouldn't mess with the character of Sage quite that much, being as he wasn't really the bad guy in the books, although it seemed like he could be if provoked. It was the Kitsune that were the real trouble. This next episode could really show us something that will give us a major clue to what all this stuff means going into the end of the season. Recap on the Kitsune from the books from: vampirediaries.wikia.com/wiki/ShinichiThis could quite possibly be done easily in the present storyline: In his human form, Shinichi looks like a young and beautiful Asian boy with pitch black hair, red all around the tips and golden eyes. In his real fox form he has more than six tails and black and red fur. His personality is twisted and evil. Both he and his sister Misao can change into any form that they want. At first, he appeared as a dark and mysterious person, who offered a partnership to Damon in order to destroy the entire Fell's Church. With the influence and help of Damon, Stefan is lured away from the town with the promise of becoming a human again. Shinichi and his twin sister, Misao, used terrible tentacled creatures, called Malach, which can be the size of a pinhead or big enough to swallow your entire arm, to make Damon one of her pawns. The malach entered his body and took him over from the inside, corrupting his body and his soul, making him entirely under Shinichi's will. Shinichi made Damon torture Elena and even kidnap her, making her believe that Stefan wanted her to be under Damon's care, while he and Misao spread the malach like a virus among the citizens of Fell's Church. If they went off on this sort of tangent they could totally short circuit the triangle for a while and leave it to season 4 or maybe even beyond that as the town struggles with this new 'threat.' Even the Originals could help defend against this situation they find themselves in. I really hope my theory about Damon being the killer isn't right...but it's still a theory, even if it caused by him being 'possessed' by something, malach or otherwise. (compelled, controlled, whatever). It happened in the books and they have been talking about pulling more stuff out of the books to use in the TV show and they really have with the coming of Meredith and Sage.

I have a question. If the writers decide to have Elena choose Damon over Stefan, do you think Stefan will stick around for it?
Or do you think Elena will actually make that choice and choose Damon
I just can't see it not because I ship Stelena or Delena but because of the character Elena is. She doesn't even like talking about Damon and her feelings towards him because she thinks its wrong of her even if she feels her feelings are right.
So I'm really intrigued to see how they will make her come to her decision.
In the books didn't Stefan leave or thought dead when they hooked up or something?
