Whatever Stefan does is Stefan's fault, his own doing, his own guilt.
It's not Damon fault that Stefan killed all those people back in 1917. How was Damon suppose to know he was gone run off and kill a town full of people? When Stefan ran off Damon probably thought he was running because of remorse & guilt from the girl head falling off.
But my thing with Lexi is that she never tried to teach Stefan moderation with human blood she just put him on the animal blood. That's I think Stefan just tries to throw his self back on animal blood like that is going to fix his problem.
I always thought him getting back on the animal blood was a bad idea cause that's not really addressing the real problem.
