Since I have mostly been ranting I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread just for that. I don't want to bring the rest of you down that are still positive about Delena. but for those of us that aren't feeling so positive, at least at the moment, we need a place to vent, so here it is.
This is still a Delena thread. I don't want to see other ships coming in here to complain about DE. This is for us DE's who are disappointed in the current storyline for our ship.

It appears from some of the interviews that they may plan to yet again copy DE's chemistry and try to put it on SE through vamp sex. Well, I have to say, that I don't care how hard they try, SE will never be able to even touch DE in the passion department even if they tried their best. It makes me sick actually to even think about it. It's like, to me, they are taking sacred ground now, things we had hopes and dreams about and just destroying it. SE isn't going to become more popular. Copying DE isn't going to make it more popular. Stefan can't pull it off and it becomes a joke, just like his supposed bad boy antics. He just looked like an utter dick. There was nothing humorous or lovable about him. He was just an ass. Whereas Damon always could get a laugh with his snarkiness. Stefan wasn't snarky, he was sarcastic and rude. But they TRIED to make him Damon so we'd like him and again FAIL! So this will be another example if they try it.

The only place I even heard about Vamp sex was on the red carpet at the upfronts and someone asked Paul about Vamp sex and he was jokingly commenting but seriously had no idea if they would or not. They asked him now that Elena is a vamp you don't have to be so fragile with her and Paul started smiling and talked about hard vamp sex and was laughing. I didn't take it one way or the other. It was kinda funny. So I don't know if that is where the spoilers are coming from???

"i've said this once and i will say it again, julie, kevin or whoever, some big player backstage is a huge fan of stelena and forwood, thus why they always seem to epically piss on:

katherine
the originals
bonnie
jeremy
meredith
matt
regular alaric
and anyone else, in their eyes, it doesnt matter what the fans truly want because they might see it as tv esque or tv cliche, it matters what they want, and if the fans want more character tv time or shipping a couple like delena or klaroline, well they will respond with a big f%%^ u! Thats just the nature of the beast my friend, hopefully if I get to live out my passion and become a tv/film writer, Im gonna make sure the top players listen to the fans so we can incorporate it into the show"

Yeah probably but it goes back to how they have in the past tried to copy the parts of Damon/DE that the majority of the fans talk about/want and that's what the discussions are really about. They want us to like Stefan so desperately that I wouldn't put it past them to try to make SE more passionate. That last kiss was pretty lackluster, however. She looked like she was kissing a toad.  How do you compare that to 3x19? Then she chooses Stefan anyway, the WRONG choice. |

Also JP better know what she's doing by all that foreshadowing of DE in the finale with the flashback and the 'can't think about always' line. If she screws this up and doesn't go anywhere with it then this may be the last season of the Vampire Diaries. Yeah it'll suck for the cast and all they're amazing which is why I don't really want it to be cancelled but they're being overseen by some crazy honcho that couldn't give a crap for 80% of her fans. She really can't expect all 6 or whatever seasons to just be SE without ever exploring DE. SE will get old by episode 5. Maybe even by episode 1 because everyone's seen it all and it's nothing new. It'll get old real fast and everyone will just tune out.  |

The look on her face made me think that she was thinking along the lines of, 'It doesn't work for me anymore. I have fallen for Damon.' Really all of her body language in the finale made it seem as if she was going to choose Damon and the way she talked about him that he's under her skin, that he consumes her. It makes no sense for her to choose Stefan after admitting all of that. I also didn't like the 'I never unfell for him' what was that supposed to mean?  Does she think she has to be completely over Stefan or something? What does it say that she still fell for Damon despite loving Stefan? Just because she loves Stefan doesn't mean that she's IN love with him.  I read some tweets on twitter where people were saying that the ending got changed and I was a bit worried about that when I read that a day before the finale. I wonder what was changed and if it would have been worser or better for Delena at that. |

Yeah none of it makes sense. But every time they go DE's way, they immediately change it back again. So like I said in another post it's like 1 for DE, 10 for SE, 1 for DE, 10 for SE. We're not stupid! Just because they SAY stuff doesn't mean that's what we see play out on screen. So when they say that they've been fair to both sides, sorry, it ain't true! DE hasn't even gotten a chance to happen yet.
I've been waiting since 3x10 to see the fork in the road and the obvious shift in Elena toward Damon and it didn't happen. Why should I keep waiting for it? We've waited 3 freaking years already. DE's have BEEN patient. It's time to give us what we want. I don't like being played for a fool. But it's getting to the point of no return, where I won't care and other people won't care because it's dragged on too long and they've wrecked it too many ways. The best they'll get out of me is a 'Finally, stupid ass show!" if they ever did get together. The emotional payoff is going to just be gone so I'm thinking why bother?
Elena has been a heartless bitch to Damon this past season and I never thought I'd see that. I really didn't. She was always so compassionate and caring about him. So what the hell happened? Worse yet, Damon has been the best he's ever been toward her. It doesn't make one bit of sense.

This video just slays me. The ways that Damon protected her, kept her safe, loved her, trusted her, did everything he could for her. What else could be possibly do? I think that's why it's hard for me to believe if all that wasn't enough that anything will ever be enough.

To me Stefan comes off as that blanket you had as a kid that kept you warm and safe and that you don't won't to give up even if you've outgrown it. It's like Elena is still holding on to that. When Matt asked her if she feels obligated to love him and she responded that she didn't I think she does. She always talks about how he was there for her during a time she needed him and how she met him first. She never talks about him being the love of her life and all of this and that. She didn't even want to turn to be with him forever. Stefan had to ultimately come out and say it himself and it still didn't make her choice change. Unlike Bella who was dead set on turning to be with Edward forever. She gets a lot of hate but she knew what she wanted unlike Elena who's been wishy washy. Elena just fell for Stefan at a time when she was vulnerable and that could have been any guy at that moment. It could have been Damon. Isn't it strange how she says, maybe if I met you first to Damon. It's not even a, "No I will never love you it's always going to be Stefan." Though for her to even say that it just comes off as she feels obligated to love Stefan because he was just there first in that vulnerable period. SE doesn't even seem stable right now. Elena's not going to be a vulnerable human so she's not going to have to hide under Stefan's protection. She can 'shut off' her emotions or whatever. Stefan doesn't seem as if he'll be able to accept Elena as a vampire. He can barely even accept himself. I expect there to be problems. There should be. Things can't be the same or it wouldn't make any sense. It's funny how every time JP writes a scene it always sends out mixed signals. Some people think this way and others that way. Just like in the finale where you have half of people thinking this is the start of DE and it's foreshadowing all of this and that and the other half thinking DE has been destroyed completely and this is the end.  |

I don't know what is going to become of DE, but that isn't really the point. I'm just tired of what we are seeing now. I'm tired of being told Stefan is so perfect, so wonderful for giving her a 'choice,' a choice to die apparently is better than all those times Damon saved her butt. How horrible of him! None of it makes a bit of sense to me. It's like some screwed up person's thinking and all I can figure is that JP is screwed up in her head to think this is good and this is normal and she tries to make Stefan something that isn't even realistic and calls it good. It's messed up and I think she needs therapy. I really do.
But now this is what we have to deal with, some producer who is not right in the head making these decisions and insisting that Stefan is the hero and the be all end all and Damon is the dog not worthy of licking Elena's boots. I really don't like trying to relate to a world that makes no sense and is so obviously warped.
No matter what we see on screen, I know in my gut that she wants Stelena from the way she talks and the things she says. The rest is fan service and grudgingly done. This is why after those beautiful moments she snatches it right back away from us again. I really don't believe she plans on letting DE be the endgame at this point in time, not from everything she's said and done and the way she barely gives us anything. The way she praises Stefan, like saying he deserved it after this season. How did he deserve anything with the way he treated Elena? He was a freaking asshole to her. He deserved nothing. He deserved to have to work for it like Damon had to work for it when he did stuff that was unacceptable, but not the golden boy, not Stefan. It's so obvious who she favors and at the end of the day no matter what potential we see, no matter what we think should happen she has the last call, the final say, and it will happen the way she wants it to.
