I hate this stupid triangle between Elena, Stefan and Damon. I hate each of these characters too. I never read the books so I don't really give a crap if the writers should focus on them or not. The show is only supposed to be based off the books. They should be taking breaks from it to focus on other characters. I cannot stand Elena. She is the dumbest person on the whole show. If she really cared about her friends and family she would have at least tried to leave Mystic Falls once. If she cared she would stop dating a vampire. I think Elena enjoys all the action in a way. I noticed that whenever she is not in on the latest plan she gets all crazy mad. This is her only form of entertainment. That's why Caroline, Jeremy, etc were giving her alcohol after she lost blood. They secretly (or subconsciously) want her dead too. Elena gah I hate Damon. I have disliked him since the first moment I saw him. I hate his facial expressions, and mannerisms. I will never forget how he killed Lexi, used Caroline, and shows no disregard for anyone elses life (besides Elenas). I think he is just some creeper in his 30s (well older since becoming a vamp) who hangs out with High school kids. I cannot believe the adults are even ok with this. I don't hate Stefan, but I don't like him either. He just annoys me. Pissed me off when he killed Damons reporter girl. I think he provokes Damon. I can't think of anything specific. I know he looks older than high school too but not nearly as old as Damon. I don't see the chemistry between him and Elena. I think I would like him more if he got with Caroline. If I think of anything else I will post it. It feels so good to rant without having to worry about offending ;D

Hear hear!!! This triangle is handled poorly, IMO, to begin with. Majority of the time, it comes off as Damon being a 3rd wheel with an awkwardly close relationship with his Brother's girlfriend. Even after all Damon has done, she doesn't give him the time of day or just gives him enough to keep him around for his protection. With 3 seasons in the bag, it's just old now. Ideally, I'd love for one of them to bow out and pursue another interest that isn't some Tatia/Katherine doppel but then that throws the whole 'triangle' thing out the window so it's kind of locked in at this point Hate Elena too. She's shown to be one of the dumbest people on the show, if not 'THE' (come at me). Her doing things on her own or wanting to make plans results in more bad things happening for her or her friends that she 'loves so much'. She doesn't seem to get it through her head how much trouble she is and when she does things on her own, she's purposely putting those love ones in harms way because they are the ones who constantly rise up to fight for and protect her. At this point, I'm just wondering when the hell everyone is going to say "ENOUGH!" cause Elena is nothing but trouble. Damon's glaring issue for me in the obsession with Elena. I was tired of it in S2. She treats him like crap and yet he's still there to do anything for her. After all the stuff that happened in S3 and her still choosing Stefan, I just want Damon to say 'I'm out' and move on. Frak Elena. Go find someone who will actually return that love but nope, because of this whole 'triangle', the guy just keeps coming back for more and more of the BS he 'loves' so much. On the other hand though, I do think he cares for others outside of Elena. This small band of people have become the closest he's had to 'friends' (however loosely you want to use that) in some time and he's shown to do a lot to keep them all alive (I don't buy the it's only for Elena bit). I do think at some point though, they should get the Elena treatment too and he should just stop. They treat him like crap despite what he does and yet he lines up every time to save them. He plays the role of protector well but I just wish he'd get over the esteem issues, tell these people off and demand even the littlest bit of respect for what he's done. Stefan has just been going downhill for me. I agree that I don't think the SE thing works. It's just not believable to me. He needs someone else. Hated that he killed Andie but yes, he does provoke Damon. The "At least I'll have her respect" line where he basically admitted that he lets Damon love Elena and has turned a blind eye to it cause Damon is helping to protect Elena immediately put him on my S*** list. He was just 'boring' before that but that particular scene was an eye-opener for me and it's just continued from there. It's sad cause it seems the show is designed around the triangle and these 3 themselves instead of the show being designed around say, the town/the gang/the TVD universe, and it shows cause the rest of the stuff seems like an afterthought/half-assed at times.

I don't even understand these stupid triangles. I think a person should know when they have found The One. If a person is confused then maybe neither guy is her true love. I think it's puppy love with Stefan and just an attraction with Damon. Once she grows up and gets over the whole 'ohhh I'm so cool cause I'm dating a vamp' she can move on. It would be slightly more believable if they had made Elena a college student instead. I guess the High school setting gives the characters a reason to make stupid mistakes.

Her reasoning for Stefan is laughable: I saw him first. Then there is the whole "It'll always be Stefan" line. If that was the case with Stefan, she wouldn't have fallen for Damon or in this downtime with Stefan, she would have pursued a relationship with Damon just to be sure. Instead, it's a bunch of "I don't know", the silent answer or someone interrupting. Bull-frakking shackles JP and that's just piss poor writing.
I'm just kind of tired of triangles in general. Where is a good, solid couple that goes through the good and bad together? Not this TVD BS where at the first sign of trouble, a couple breaks up and one of them hooks up with someone else and we still see them wanting to get back together with the other one they broke up with but now being in the middle of a 'triangle' cause the other person they just hooked up with on the rebound loves them with everything in their heart and doesn't want to let them go (<- run on sentence). The saddest part is, most of them are billed as triangles but they're not cause it always seems like someone is just hanging around or trying to force their way in (TVD and TW).
The triangle should be wiped from existence.

It would be slightly more believable if they had made Elena a college student instead. I guess the High school setting gives the characters a reason to make stupid mistakes. Really wish they'd stop using the high school setting as well, especially if they hardly use it. College would work cause at the very least, they could work in the occasional class, the dorm and trying to hide the Vampire element and even balancing a job. I'd be surprised if anyone in the gang is actually passing any classes. Teen Wolf does a good job of using the high school setting because they keep all the familiar elements there: actually going to school, having an after school job and even having the parent figures in the picture. It's believable.

OMG exactly what I need
I hate the triangle between them.. so annoying. I mean in the first 2 seasons .. okay.. I can stand it.. but come on.. it has been 4 seasons, and she still running(messing) around 2 bros.. selfish act.....If she do care about them.. she should't have choose neither of them.. now.. season 4, they are still fighting because of u Elena.. and she just keep stirring up the tension
I don't think she deserve Stefan or Damon. u guys are right.. she should have leave town

I mean... with u guys other busy life with the vamp and having sex and making out in the wood.. I dont think u guys can get into any college.. or maybe on the other hand, Damon just gonna compelled the college Dean to let them get in.
