I love The Babysitters' Club! I want to start reading the books that True Blood is based on. I love reading The Vampire Diaries, Stefan's Diaries, The Secret Circle, and Harry Potter!

I gave up on the TVD books.
Rather enjoy the Mercy Thompson/Alpha & Omega series by Patricia Briggs (2 different leads but the same universe and timeline w/ some shared characters. One series mainly has 1 brother and the other brother mains the other series). Also following Vampire Academy and House of Night. Need to pick back up on the Fallen books by Lauren Kate (need to get the most recent 2) and also need to continue with the Hollows series by Kim Harrison.
I've yet to really make the jump out of the genre but I've been eying 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' and 'The Road' as well as the 'A Song of Ice & Fire' books (Game of Thrones). Just haven't made the final push of actually picking the books up.

I'm really into period books. I love books that take place back in the 18 hundreds! Jane Austen era and Jane Austen books too. I did finish an amazing book from the 20's to 40's English war era. It was fantastic.
The real Teenage books, the ones that started them all are the VC Andrews series. I was a die hard Flowers in the attic series. I have them all. She wrote non incest books too about teenage love and drama.
I want to read "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "Hunger Games". Those are on my list.
I of course read all HP and Twilight books as well.

I read the Flowers in the Attic stuff too and now when I think about it, I go wtf? Who decided this was good for teenagers with raging hormones and siblings...haha I was also big into fantasy like everything JRR Tolkien wrote. I mean everything. I even named my cat Silmarillion. Anne Rice, of course, for vampire stuff and various other fantasy stuff I read like crazy. Imagining those other worlds never let me down.

I gave on the TVD books too after the return series if you read TVD the return series you would know why.shinici, kitsunes Ect to crazy for me and not even the same story in my opinion. Exactly why. I made it to Nightfall and felt forced to finish it. Once I did, swore off the books and from what little I've read about what happens later, it gets even more crazy (Meredith is part Vampire who is a Hunter/Slayer, Caroline becomes pregnant and is turning into a Werewolf, Damon becomes Human, etc.). Just a whole bunch of crazy that doesn't jive with me. Think I might be off Smith's book altogether. I'd still like to see a series of novels based on the show though that expand on some of those characters (the Originals for instance).

Well, was going to get 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' today at Walmart but I wasn't going to pay $13 for it. I swear Walmart raised the prices across the board though. Gonna just wait to go to Barnes & Noble or somewhere else where I can get it for ~$10. Was also looking for the novelization of the next Underworld movie but didn't see it. Don't even know if it's out yet.

Just haven't made the final push of actually picking the books up. I've read all of those! The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is good, but it takes a loooong time to get going. Where you think it should end, there's still 200 pages to go. It needed some editing, I think. I've tried reading the second one but am only about 1/3 of the way through. I really enjoyed The Road, but it is bleak. A Song of Ice and Fire books are amazing. The last two books are weaker than the first three. I need to read them again because I've missed a lot when I read them the first time. Have you seen the TV show?

Not something I consider ideal but I can deal with it. Lauren Kate's Fallen was a 'slow start' too but by the time things get going, it's the end of the book. So as long as TGWTDT isn't the same thing, I'm good. Yeah, I've heard The Road is good and really leaves a lasting impression on you about a post-apocalyptic world. I've been meaning to catch the movie in the meantime (I know Showtime was showing it earlier in the month). Love the show (Game of Thrones), which is why I'm looking to pick up the books and see how things go. Can't really hit up forums for it either cause book readers seem to ruin it (they did it for S1 with a certain beheading... ) I probably should finish some other series though or check up where they're at. MT/A&O is still ongoing so that's fine, but I should really round off Vampire Academy & House of Night. The Hollows is 10 books and I've only got the first and have also been eying the 'Nightshade' books. Also need to find something of the 'science fiction' sort to get into (not fantasy, but you know, space, space ships, etc.).

Picked up 'Nightshade' by Andrea Cremer and also nabbed 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' by Stieg Larsson. The thing that pissed me off about TGWTDT is that the cover is the 'movie' version. They had it in 3 different places in the store so I grabbed it and after having paid for it, I saw off to the side, they had a small table the versions that were native to the books (the yellowish cover). My book OCD will probably make me pick that version up unless I wait for the remaining movies to come out and get the 'movie' versions of those too.
