Hey just wondering if anyone is watching this show. I love it! @slash I feel like it's right up your ally. It's different and very suspenseful.

Was going to give it a go/get around to it. Been trying out a few new shows lately, old and new and this one was on my radar. Just got done checking out 'Last Resort' and '666 Park Avenue' so may as well give 'Revolution' a shot. EDIT: Just got done watching all 3 episodes. I like Miles, Charlie and Nora. I also like whatshisname (the geek guy). Don't care for the brother or the other woman right now. Kind of figured that the mother would show up when she was mentioned in the 1 or 2nd episode and wasn't around. Just had that feeling. I like the flashbacks too and the certain info that was disclosed in the 3rd episode about Miles. EDIT2: What the hell made you assume this was right up my 'alley'?

Just watched Ep 4. Spoilers below: Figures. Just when I came around to liking Maggie (the woman who left the village with Charlie), she dies Her backstory made me like her. She journeyed across the country and up and down the coast to find a way to get back to England to her children and when she finally gave up, she was going to poison herself till Ben stumbled on her and she met his kids (Charlie and Danny). They 'saved' her and gave her a reason to continue living. This also help set Miles on track at least. Miles' backstory is getting more and more interesting. He called for Rachel (?), his brother's wife to meet them and he took her prisoner. He knows that she is alive. I want to see what made him abandon his position in the militia and why Monroe was the one put in charge. From the flashbacks, it seems he was the one who got the militia rolling at least, or the idea behind it (someone needing to do something about the chaos) and Monroe was kind of unwilling to his 'methods' (when he killed the 2 guys). Something had to have happened to make him question what he was doing and to leave/look for a simpler life. Thinking back to the 2nd/3rd episode, I'm guessing there is a 4th party involved somewhere? We have the regular civilians, the Rebels, Monroe Militia and I'm assuming that whoever broke into the house of the one woman with the other pendant was working for another group. He had a pendant himself and since Monroe is busy questioning Rachel about what Ben was working on, I assume he doesn't know about the pendants and thus isn't hunting down people who have them. So there is a 4th group in the know that is probably seeking out the members that know about the pendants (and who have them) and killing them/bringing them in/retaking the pendants. Small gripe about the flashbacks but I'm kind of bothered by the 2 younger versions of Charlie or should I say the youngest one we've seen. The really younger one in the first few episodes...eh. The one in Ep 4, you can say she becomes the present day Charlie look-wise but the younger one doesn't look in the same ballpark as the other 2.

Sniff sniff MAGGIE! So sad...... I liked her all along but then again I always like any English character because I'm biased cause the accent. But wow that guy who kidnapped Charlie was cray cray! Miles oh Miles. I love Billy Burke by the way. Anyway I am just so confused about him right now. I need to know his whole history! Crazy thing is he sent for her but David let her go to him. Question is why and how did they know miles wanted her? I mean telephones/text/emails don't work. yes younger charlie eating ice cream looks nothing like charlie but the charlie in this episode looks like her. And it seems to me they are about 5 years apart from when the black out Charlie appeared. So She must have been like 8 or 9? So the family had been out on the run for a while and Miles had been in with the Militia for awhile.. interesting. Also I love Nate! I love him and the girl Miles is friends with. I forget her name but she was on One Tree Hill at one point. The son was an idiot for saving that man! he should have known better. Served him right getting captured again. Such a smart kid always escaping but dumb because he always get caught right back again. SMH!

The guy who kidnapped Charlie was indeed crazy. Attack dogs and following them because they killed one? Then he asked Charlie that she could stay because she reminded him of his daughter? She'd be living in fear the entire time. The arrow that *JUST* missed her had me really watching the entire time cause of the way it was set up (rigged to the door). The look on Miles' face when he saw what happened after walking through the door and looking back at Nate was priceless. I figure Nate will stick close now and maybe even shift to their side completely cause of his feelings for Charlie.
I'm wondering if Ben knew that Miles wanted his wife. He went off on Charlie earlier about his wife leaving to find supplies and getting herself lost/killed in the wild and it sounded like he really believed that. I don't see him knowing that and then lying to his children all these years about her being dead but I also don't see him letting his wife go like that.
I'm hating Danny (the brother) right now. His actions caused his father to get killed and since then, he's gotten more annoying. Neville annoys me to a point but Danny should have let him die. He should have taken Neville's weapons and left him. With any luck, the tornado would have done away with/slowed down the rest of the Militia so he could finish them with Neville's weapons and he could have been on his way home with their supplies and some of their ammo/weapons. He *BLEW* that chance by a mile.

Oh I thought his name was David! HAHA Ben had to have known. I mean who lets their wife go off in search of supplies? You set your wife and kids up in a safe place and you THE MAN go off and look for stuff. Especially since you know men might I don't know **** your wife out there. Ben was a good actor. he hid loads of info from Charlie esp about the power and that necklace! i wouldn't be surprised if he knew.
And don't even get me started on Danny. You said it best! Neville is annoying. I feel like it's sort of over acting too.

The 'Man'? He couldn't kill someone who was stealing all his food and threatened his daughter. Rachel, his wife had to do that. She wears the pants in the relationship, not him Neville does seem to really overdo it. For instance, when they heard the buckshot and went to the house where the guy just killed the deer (?) and Neville was going on about his wife cooking veal steaks and such. He seems to always try and tack on some story to his conversations with people before getting to the point or laces the point into the stories (another case is when he went on about his job prior to the blackout to tell the woman he knows how to tell when people are lying and that he knew Danny was in the house).

HAHA she wears the pants. Where do we know her from? She looks so familiar! Rachel that is. I wonder if Miles and Rachel have a thang?
And great observation about Neville. So true. it's like he always has a speech or monologue. Shakespeare speech every few lines. It's annoying.

I just had to IMDB her. Now I know where I know her from: V. That's been bothering me the past 2 episodes cause she did look familiar.

Danny called Neville on his speeches/stories this episode. He's tired of them. It clicked with me when Miles was wanting to trade for Danny and after seeing the flashback that 'Nate' was 'Jason' (since Nate had told Charlie that 'Nate' wasn't his real name), Neville's son. I'm really liking the flashbacks and seeing how some of these people were before the Blackout. Neville getting fired from his job cause I guess he was trying to be 'nice' and cut a family some slack on insurance for a fire (smoke damage not being covered) and being 'nice' by not really fussing with the neighbor about the noise. Once the Blackout happened, toughen up, don't be weak or you die. He taught Jason from a young age as well. Something I like about the series, or specifically Miles & Charlie, is that Miles chews out Charlie on an episode-by-episode basis. He chews her out when something they do her way or something she does risks the entire group or herself. Eric and Nora (even Maggie) try to be nice to her and such but Miles just goes all in when she screws up and thankfully, it sticks to her and she learns as we saw at the end of this episode. Hate to draw the comparison/bring it up but people should be doing this to Elena in TVD. She makes far too many stupid decisions that people have to clean up after and no one really (it rarely does happen and it's usually Damon who does it) chews her out for it. They 'baby' and protect her time and time again and I think if her 'friends' would actually call her on these crap decisions she's making that endanger everyone, she'd start thinking about the bigger picture before making decisions in the future. And we also find out that Rachel was in the know about what Ben was working on (she was working on it too) and that there are 12 of those pendants that can turn the power back on. We've seen 3. I think if Jason sees the design though, he'll lead the Militia to find Charlie & Co. to get the one he saw Eric with. It's the one they know about and Monroe will want it ASAP due to his rising problems. Speaking of rising problems, it's nice to see a layout of the US after the blackout. It's divided into a few regions: Monroe Republic, California Common Wealth, Wasteland, Plains Nation, Texas, and Georgia Federation. PN and GF have formed an alliance against Monroe (who is the only one named after a single person). I really want to see the other segments worked into the series later on if possible. Which brings me to my next point. Haven't looked at ratings or anything but generally, I worry about shows on ABC/NBC/FOX/etc. because I don't think they get a fair shake at times and only get one season before the networks can them for a new reality show or a new show next season that gets cancelled as well. I kind of fear for this show cause I'm enjoying it but I have that inkling that it won't see a S2

I like this show but it's reminiscent of Jericho which was cancelled. I really liked that show. I'm kind of afraid to really get into this one because of that.
I find I'm completely into it when I'm watching and was totally floored at the revelation at the end of the last episode. I haven't read this whole thread yet and I don't want to spoil anyone so I won't say anymore.

This is my problem with watching some of these new shows: the fear of cancellation I'm reading that Revolution is doing pretty well though so we may yet get another season out of it.

So apparently the show has 2-3 more episodes and then it's on hiatus till late March/early April Just got around to this week's episode and Charlie is really a love/hate character on a per episode basis. Something about her makes you think "Really?" and then other times, she's alright/like she's learning. There were some pretty funny lines from Miles & Aaron this episode too. Aaron finally came clean on the pendant and Miles wanted to smash it cause he knows that it's too much of a risk not only for them but if Monroe gets his hands on it (not knowing Monroe already knows they have one and sent a group after them). Sucks for Miles cause he doesn't know there are 11 more. Glad to finally see a bit more about how this all started. The group who made the pendants was just a small startup and they were looking for a way to make clean, renewable energy but found the opposite: a way to turn it all off. They reached out to the DOD to keep them afloat and we can guess where that lead. Randal, the guy from DOD made an effort to get Rachael on board by helping out with her complications with Danny at the time. Wasn't surprised to see that he was still alive but it was to see that he was the one who took Grace. So Monroe is hunting down the people and so is Randal. I'm actually wondering if Randal is on his own or if he's affiliated with one of the other 'nations' that popped up. That could get real ugly if Monroe gets something going and then one of the others with Randal does too. Things could escalate quickly between them to keep the other from getting the upper hand.
