So when Jeremy told Conner Nice Ink. Conner's face was priceless. Conner being a Vampire Hunter and all the tattoos brought me back to this other series I read a while back ago called The Mortal Instruments. In the Mortal Instruments, the main characters are SHADOW HUNTERS.
They descend from Angel blood and they HUNT VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES, WARLOCKS, FAIRIES ETC when they are out of order. They have the invisible tattoos symbols on their body that protects them or helps them heal.
I wonder if they are taking some info from these books because that would be pretty interesting.

'Runes'.
Would be interesting if they're playing in that ball park with Connor and the Hunters.
And someone with some Tumblr-fu can probably find an image of his arm during that scene. Just spent 15 minutes trying and all I'm getting is a whole lot of Damon & Alaric gifs.

oh yes thats what they are called, sorry I read the books in the beginning of the year so I forgot about them. Yes Damon's mourning scene was sad and so Damon. I wish he could have seen Alaric.

I'm still trying to decide why I think Jeremy can see it. Is it because he can see ghosts and somehow it's tied to that and witch craft? Or is it because he is by blood a vampire hunter. Like it's its own supernatural entity. Somehow there was a beginning and the blood runs through certain bloodlines? I'm trying to figure it out but I'm lost.

In the Mortal Instruments book People only with "The sight" were able to see the runes. It could be that he has the blood in his family. I think that would be cool because it gives him his own thing. I am still like dang Jeremy you hot. Every season he comes back and im like Hey Jeremy sexy thing you. With his fitted button down and skinny tie. lol

 It looks like a tree/root design. White Oak tree is part of the creation and destruction of the Originals so maybe there is a link there? |

Maybe the witches created the hunters to counter balance the vampires?
But it seems like we would have heard about that by now.
