Anyone watching this show?
I'm finding it above the usual TV drama - it kind of ranks up there as a block buster movie in the way it's shot and the storyline.
It's a mix of The Hunt for Red October and The Sum of all Fears.
Anywho.......I'd love to discuss if there are any fans of the show on this board.

I've been watching it and have enjoyed it so far. Really like the mystery surrounding what's happening in the Government and where those orders came from but I'd like more screentime for the political/back home stuff. We nuked Pakistan and it's kind of like a footnote on the show only brought up here and there but it seems they're getting more into that with other stuff in the world escalating (China invading Taiwan; 81 Nations in the UN against what the US did). Really want to know what happened in Pakistan with the SEALs that prompted the US to do a first strike. Also like that the wife of the XO was wise to what her lawyer was trying to do and that she knows her husband well enough to know that the government is lying about him and is just trying to cover their own ass in this. Her and the other woman (the one with the prototype) working together should be interesting going forward. I imagine that the US stole her designs not only for the data about the Colorado but since the world is against what they did and things are getting ugly, they'll want to put the prototypes on more ships to give them an edge as well. I also liked this most recent episode that the Lt ( The female officer who seems 3rd in charge) finally got some respect from the COB for her handling of the mission on her own when Chaplin and the XO (need to learn names on this show ) were trying to negotiate. Speaking of negotiations, I hate that the XO had his deal right there for himself and possibly the rest of the crew and lost it by mere seconds. Kind of glad the other woman got shot and the SOD got shot too but it was only in the leg -_- That actor (the voice, his face) annoys me and it's done so since The Shield and Sons of Anarchy. Either way, the character is shady all around with trying to deny the SEALs were even there. Big ass cover up/conspiracy going on. Russia even tried to make a play for the sub but I figure that's more for the 17 nukes on board. Anyways, really enjoying the show. A US sub gone 'rogue' cause they were given shady orders and that's equipped with 18 nukes (already used 1 on it's own country to make a point), US fired off 2 nukes on Pakistan in a 'First Strike', the rest of the World ramping up for their own offensives or defense and the whole power scheme being thrown out of whack.

Only half watched the episode today. I want to watch it again. I did see the part about Grace and her being in charge. I loved how the COB saluted her at the end.
I'll post more tomorrow when I've seen more of the episode.

The back and forth of this past episode kind of messed with me (3 hours after the attack, 4 hours after the attack, 3 hours after the attack, 20 minutes before the chemical release, etc.) and the hallucinations didn't help out either and kind of seemed to not fit with the show for me =\
I'm really wanting to know what's going on with the government and all the shadiness. They had the island pretty much free for the taking but they only sent in a squad of 5 or so guys? Yeah, that was someone's hidden agenda at work and we know who (Curry) cause the targets were the SEALs.
Looks like Sophie (?; the French girl) is also taking an interest in Sam after his hallucination and kissing her. She knows he's married so I'm assuming she thinks something could possibly spark after seeing the picture of Sam's wife with another guy (despite it all being a lie/not knowing all the details). I doubt Sam would budge on it cause he does love his wife but we'll see where that goes.
Chaplin also lost his launch key so the Colorado is effectively useless as far as nuke capabilities goes and they need to get the key back quick before the NAVY finds out otherwise, they're free to assault the island without the possibility of nuke retaliation.

The show got canned along with 666 Park Avenue. They'll do the rest of the season but if they don't tie it up with an ending, that's it Really sick of TV networks.
