"A FLASHBACK TO NEW ORLEANS IN 1942 � When Stefan (Paul Wesley) confronts Damon (Ian Somerhalder) with a suspicion about Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon has no choice but to help Stefan investigate. Searching for answers, Damon and Stefan visit modern day New Orleans to see if they can find anyone who remembers the events of their last visit in 1942, including one of Damon's former flames, Charlotte (guest star Madeline Zima). Elena, Caroline (Candice Accola), and Bonnie (Kat Graham) share a girls' night while the Salvatore brothers are out of town, and emotions run high when Elena delivers some shocking news. At Hayley's (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) urging, Tyler (Michael Trevino) confronts one of Klaus' hybrids, Kimberly (guest star Alyssa Diaz), and the situation quickly escalates into violence. Finally, Damon is faced with a heartbreaking decision."

So i was thinking, the one who realized Tyler was sired to Klaus was in fact Damon.
When he realized it he basically said oh no and knew what it was. So does that lead into this whole Charlotte thing for next week?

Yeah but there needs to be more to it than that like maybe both she and Elena had strong feelings for Damon when human and when they turned with his blood that completed the bond. Otherwise, like Doppel mentioned, it's a bit too convenient for two vampires to be sired to Damon when it's supposed to be some rare thing.

Damon had STRONG feelings when Katherine when he turned, won't that make Damon sired to Kat, but he's not.

well how long ago was it. it was in 1942 almost 60 years back so it can be possible or it might not even be his sire. just saw it happen. they should've just asked klaus hahaha

liajones Again the sire bond is rare so it's not going to happen with every single turning, but strong feelings could possibly be one of the factors. ruby Yeah they would have to know specifically that Charlotte or someone else in New Orleans was sired since that's where they're deciding to go. But they did make the distinction of describing Charlotte as a former flame so it's possible she had the bond. Sired to Damon or not it still seems a bit too convenient that for such a rare thing they can already narrow it down to New Orleans where they'll find answers

i know it's rare, that's why I don't think it's attributed to having feelings for someone when you turn. many of the helpless lovers turn to spend eternity together, despite that it's still rare but who knows  this is TVD |

You know what I'm not looking forward after this past episode? Klaus crying about his new 'family' abandoning him -_- That was one of the main points of the Hybrids and now the only remaining ones have been freed of him and are under Tyler now. How mad will Klaus be about this? I'm sure this will drive him even more to turn Elena human again. |
