The Official Stefan and Rebekah Thread

I don't know how active this thread will become, but I thought it would be good to have a thread for Stefan and Rebekah.

- They have amazing chemistry. I was actually caught by surprise at how awesome it was, but their chemistry definitely impressed me.
- 3x03 is still one of my top episodes from this year so far, and a big reason was the Stefan/Rebekah interaction.
- They look HOT together. There's just no denying that.

I really enjoyed their interactions up to 3x05. I have to admit, I've been somewhat disappointed in the direction their interaction took from 3x06 onwards, but that doesn't negate what came prior. And I would love to see some more Stefan/Rebekah flashbacks from the 1920s.

I guess I sort of understand why but I think they should have shown that Stefan felt something for Rebekah earlier than this. He apparently was in love with her in the 20's or that is what is implied, yet we never saw him seem even torn about that when his compulsion was lifted and that was unrealistic. I hope they at least explore that more with them.

There's one or two problems with this ship:

Bekah's character is leaving for the Originals. I don't get the impression that Stefan is the type to do long distance relationships. The other is that the two both seem happy to gloss over the past in favor of the present, and that was one of the hallmarks of doomed relationships (Jeremy/Anna, Katherine/Damon, etc.) on this show.

Also, I actually like the ship, which is a pretty good indication that it is doomed not to last, as I also liked Damon/Rose, Jeremy/Anna, etc. Here's why:

1. Yes, there's definitely chemistry between the two characters.
2. I don't think that Stefan is doing this solely to get back at Elena for having chosen Damon, I think he actually does care for Rebekah as well.
3. Klaus doesn't seem bothered by the relationship at all.
4. Their motivations outside the relationship angle line up with one another right now- they both want the cure, albeit for different reasons.

I want to ship this ship, except I already know it's going to sink to the bottom of the ocean because of the Originals spinoff.

I just love them.

Im not a fan of the Klaroline ship but there are dedicated Klaroline shippers that are going to hate it if he goes on to the Originals without Caroline.

It breaks my heart to agree with you because I love them together! As a Stefan fan it's nice to see him able to smile for once with someone other than Elena. I've really enjoyed all their scenes together these past few episodes. We don't know for sure if Claire is going to The Originals or if it's even going to get picked up. I hope that it does so I can see Daniel Gillies on my screen every week! But at the same time it would make me sad to see Stefan lose Rebekah. They might actually have potential for a relationship at least for a little while if they're going to keep Elena with Damon. Which would be fine by me, I just don't want Stefan in his room pining & writing in his journal again! I was also a huge Anna/Jeremy & Rose/Damon fan! Both tragic relationships that broke my heart! Especially Rose's death scene.  That's one scene I bawl my eyes at every time. And also when Anna is reunited with her Mom. At least she got a semi happy ending and wasn't all alone.
