Let's just move the damn thing over. But first Ruby would you like to re-write anything or do you like your post as is? We don't have to bring the posts over but she can write her topic and we can just continue from there? Just pick up where this thread left off?

Oh no, now SweetLuv is gonna mod me...I just read your post. haha! But then what do we do with Ruby's debate? Most of this debate was really on her topic as it turns out, so I think it would be better to move the posts that weren't to their own thread.  " style="width:auto;"] SORRY SOSWEETS!  " style="width:auto;"] Well only cause your topic got everyone hot under the collar as it turned out.  They were on on the same scene in the episode and half my answers are really about Klaus and if I think he can be redeemed, which I do, if he wants to be and tries to be. |

You just do select on each post that replied to hers and then on the last one moderate>move>all selected posts>existing topic then find her new topic in the tree. |

Ok I did it and I erased some of the post in the beginning about merging but now that I merged it erased Ruby's post and I erased it here! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help a mod out? lol

So where were we? Why is Klaus muderous? Well, I think that he did have a horrible family life and so he is insecure which is why he really strives to be this 'big bad.' Until he can get over those insecurities I don't know that he can really change. It was interesting that he seemed to want to change or why else was he asking Damon anything?

Parents + being immortal/powerful. Mikael really messed him up with the way he treated him and the whole Esther thing didn't help. Add in becoming Vampires and he can get away with things without consequence or has the foresight to avoid such. He can be as brutal as he wants with little concern for what happens afterwards. He seems to have the most respect for his family, but that's not much since he was daggering them and pretty much put his own goals above them anyways (leaving Bekah in the back of the van, not really caring much for Finn's demise, etc.).
Elijah and Bekah stood by him and loved him but that didn't stop him from ignoring their own interests: Elijah wanting to spare Katherine after the sacrifice and Bekah wanting to stay with Stefan. Klaus didn't care for Katherine's life after the fact despite Elijah showing interest and he was delayed 500 years, and he rewarded Bekah by daggering her for 90 years despite standing by him and because she loved someone. I think all of it stems from his relationship with Mikael & Esther since he seems to 'overlook' how much Elijah & Bekah loved him and stood him and it's a shame really cause if Klaus actually recognized and returned that love/dedication to them, things would be a lot different and I think he'd be nicer/more lax.
