If the Originals gets picked up....will we treat it like a regular show like Nikita or Arrow that we just post in one thread or would you guys consider making it a seperate section? Where we can post episode threads and spoilers? Just wondering. Since it is part of tvd

Hadn't thought about that yet, though I did make a thread for it for now under 'other TV shows.' I think it's quite possible that the two would continue to intersect and affect each other so another section in this board might be the right way to go if enough people want to talk about it. It really would depend on how popular it is.

Okay gotcha. Was just wondering. I guess we will see when the pilot airs and then we will have all summer to think about it haha. Just assumed everyone who watches tvd would watch the originals but then I forget not everyone is emotionally attached to klaus like I am haha lol but rebekah will get her fans and so will Elijah.

I'll watch it as long and it keeps my attention but I am not emotionally invested in any of them really at this point. I like all of them, though, for various reasons. But if they died, I'd shrug.

I'm pretty sure it will get picked up. It would have to fail miserably not to be and I think with TVD's popularity that it will at least get a chance.

I really like the originals, but I like them most when interacting with the the main characters of TVD... I am not sure how I will feel about a show just about them. Also is this a prequel to TVD? If it is a prequel I think I would be much more invested in it.

It's not a prequel its then moving on to new Orleans well atleast klaus and meeting up with his old buddy. Ixk how the others really come into play though

Yes! Episode 20, I think, of TVD will be the pilot for The Originals. If it gets picked up then they will have their own series.

That sounds awesome. I love them I would love to watch the show about them,but does that mean that they wont be in the vampire diaries anymore??  I need Klaus in the vampire diaries it would be awful if he leaves...  |

They have said there'd be crossovers but I would expect he wouldn't be in it as much as he has been.

I have been wondering how they are going to deal with the severely diminished TVD cast next season. I mean, with Tyler and Jeremy gone and the Originals heading off to their own show, that really leaves who? Elena, Damon, Stefan, Caroline, Bonnie and Matt, right? I don't think April has a prayer of a chance of becoming a main character and Hayley is also heading to the Originals.
I'm guessing they will have new characters introduced next year when they go to college...if they go to college. Because let's be honest, not a single one of these teens should be graduating this year. I'm guessing they've missed more classes than they've attended. Where's a guidance counselor when you need one?
Or maybe Silas will turn out to be the new "Klaus" and stick around...

I'm thinking the same thing and wondering if this is the end of Klaroline (not that I care about them but many people do). I'm wondering what theyre going to do with her romantically and plot wise without Klaus or Tyler there...mind you, in only mildly curious bc Caroline has really annoyed me this season.

It's a good question...I have a feeling SOMETHING will happen with Klaroline before Klaus leaves town, and I'm sure there will be a bit of crossing over back and forth in the future, but this pretty much solidifies they are never going to really be together. Maybe Caroline will go back to Matt or have a romp with Stefan. Or maybe they'll introduce a new guy next season for her to hook up with.

About the cast situation: I'm wondering if Silas will bring everybody back but that would be lame imo lol. Honestly, I don't care if we just stick with the people left and add some new villains lol Matt can get with Bonnie. Stefan can get with Caroline. Damon and Elena can get together. Silas can keep lurking if they make him a good villain but this cure stuff is really lame! I have also wondered if Silas gets to pick who gets the cure ultimately...
