Hi! So I am having a really hard time with a piece of lore, a quote, from this week's vampire diaries. to quote this weeks episode as reference: "silas wants to die and be reunited with his one true love. but he's supernatural. but if he takes the cure and dies he gets stuck on the other side. but if he destroys the other side altogether, he can take the cure, and die, and pass on"
if silas takes the cure, and then dies, wont he pass on? he wont go to the other side, because he wont be supernatural anymore. so why does he want to bother with destroying the otherside

I figured it out.. if he takes the cure, hes no longer immortal, but reverts to being a witch, which would still go to the other side

I don't know, but that's a good point. Would he become a witch again?

But who says it is really Silas' intention to kill himself to be reunited with his lady, he didn't say it?! I mean those are just speculations of the MF gang. He wanted immortality for his lady and himself, but got buried alive, maybe he has other plans...I think Kol was right all along, Silas will unleash hell on earth.

Thats the thing though I'm still not believing he just wants to die to be with his true love I feel like there's more to it then just that. Maybe there isn't but my thing is if he broke the veil wouldn't that mean the other world just passes on since they already died? It never made sense to me

well he might want to die especially with the way the witch scarred him Yeah, but he is a shapeshifter isn't he, maybe he can appear like that?! I don't know, but I just don't trust him, he could have killed himself right after he stole the cure in the first place, why would he want to explain himself to Bonnie? I don't buy this BATB act. But I guess we just have to wait and see.

I think he wants to bring his true love back to life. The cure is to change someone who is dead back to human, right? If he breaks the veil and so she comes back into the world then couldn't she be cured or am I getting the story wrong? Did she truly die and pass on or does he want to break the veil to get her back to the living? I don't remember it being a fact that she was truly dead and gone. Wasn't she a witch, too? That would make her supernatural. The story the gang was sold was probably NOT the whole truth.

Well supposadly quetsiah killed her entombed silas and then made the other side to block him off. Even if he took the cure or not bc hes still supernatural. Oh and disfigured his face just in case he gets free and stay immortal.
Witches are so obsessed geeze lol
