Haven't really been in the TVD world for awhile now.. came back to see if there were any new spoilers.. too bad there's not any yet. Such a shame. Makes me miss the days TVD came back in September! Well, minus all those hiatuses.. lol

I'm hoping this season has more of a season 1 and 2 feel. Season 3 and 4 just didn't do much for me. Maybe this season will have a better vibe to it since it's been said they are changing things up for this season with Elena and them away at college and what not.

They'd do it to throw friction into Delena since Stelena ain't working anymore. People are WAY sick of that! But I don't think this guy will do anything but make us all laugh if that's what they are trying to do and I think Damon will eat him for lunch...literally.

Same here, if this serves to be one of the wedges that tries to drive Damon and Elena apart that Julie Plec was talking about, then it's a pretty weak wedge.

Well we want weak wedges, right? I'm thinking that Elena will get mad at Damon because Damon will come on too strong with her 'friend' cause he'll be his usual overprotective and territorial self. But I love their little tiffs so I can dig it.

Thaaat's true!! I have much hope that Damon and Elena will stay together!! I can't even imagine Elena ending up with anyone other than Damon or Stefan in the series, it would make no sense!

TV Guide is reporting that Rick Cosnett has been cast as a new mysterious Professor on The Vampire Diaries. Here’s the scoop!


The Vampire Diaries has cast Australian newcomer Rick Cosnett to play Caroline and Elena’s newest foe, Dr. Wes Maxfield, TVGuide.com has learned.

As we previously teased, Dr. Maxfield is a brilliant — and somewhat cocky — professor at Whitmore College, and after meeting him, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) begin to think he’s hiding a dark and dangerous secret. If any of the show’s past teachers (ahem, Alaric and Professor Shane) are any indication, we’re guessing Maxfield is fully aware of the vampires lurking around town.
