More vamps this fall! Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers (“The Tudors”) stars in this provocative new drama as one of the world’s most iconic characters. It’s the late 19th century and the mysterious Dracula (Rhys Meyers) has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He’s especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night — useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: He hopes to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan… until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife. Victoria Smurfit (“About a Boy”), Thomas Kretschmann (“King Kong”), Jessica De Gouw (“Arrow”), Oliver Jackson-Cohen (“Mr. Selfridge”), Nonso Anozie (“Game of Thrones”) and Katie McGrath (“Merlin”) also star. Writer Daniel Knauf (“Carnival”), Tony Krantz, (“24,” “Sports Night”), Colin Callender and Gareth Neame (“Downton Abbey”) serve as executive producers. “Dracula” is a production of Flame Ventures, Sky Living, Playground Entertainment, Universal Television, NBCUniversal International Television Production and Carnival Film & Television. Check out the trailer here. This is looking really good to me. I always like when they use different eras as well, not necessarily modern day: www.nbc.com/dracula/

Im interested but I wont be watching vampire shows anymore if Elena doesn't choose Damon in a profound way. Every single one has broke my heart so far previously.

Looks really good from the trailer and yes, nice to see an era change up where it's not set in modern day. Im interested but I wont be watching vampire shows anymore if Elena doesn't choose Damon in a profound way. Every single one has broke my heart so far previously. Why let what happens in one show stop you from enjoying/checking out another in the genre? I wouldn't let some of the ass hattery that goes on in TVD ruin my enjoyment of other supernatural shows (in fact, I think it's the other way around). Dracula looks to be quite different based on the fact that he came back for revenge and found someone that looks like his long dead wife (that he watched die) and even seems to think she knows him.

Well I love Johnathan Meyers so maybe. Well I have been pretty broken up about the way theyve handled True Blood and how they ended BTVS so im starting to get worried that these shows are just going to leave me in constant pain.

Was going to ask if Buffy was one of the offenders lol. True Blood is wishy-washy for me but that's pertaining to non-Sookie pairings. And yes, looking forward to Agents of SHIELD. I'm hoping it gets some of the street level heroes and villains in there now and again to gauge if they can carry their own spin offs. It's supposed to be set up in the MCU with the movies so I want to see how they bounce off one another (and affect each other with their own events).

Ok, I loved this show! I thought it was wonderful. So much potential! So many mysteries to uncover, so many great characters with so much room for growth. But here we are about to enter May Sweeps, and still no word about the fate of this show. Really disappointed. I can't believe crap some of the crap out there that continues to be scheduled, and something great like this gets pushed to the bottom of the barrel. I'm hoping for a reprieve, but it's not looking good ... so sad.
