I think the break up is for real guys...someone who lives in Atlanta and has been right about alot of things with Nian says they are done and that it was Nina who broke it off basically blindsiding Ian, just as I suspected. The signs were there... Now he's moving on and she may not have expected that. Now she's freaking out that he's moved on? Duh, Nina! Did she think he'd sit around moping forever? Ian Somerhalder? omg Anyway...who knows what will happen when they are back in the same area and actually get a chance to talk because apparently this happened suddenly in between his traveling. I think he seemed to me to be, and was probably, disgusted with her and that comment about people changing and not telling you was probably about Nina. We saw that he was sad and contemplative during that part of his traveling even though he tried to cover it up. Well she got what she wanted I guess, to be wild and free. I hope it was worth it.
There's still always a chance this girl is wrong but it took her a while to even want to say what she'd been hearing so I don't think she'd say it if she wasn't sure. There's also always a chance that Nina will realize what she's losing and try to make up with him. Whether or not he'd do it is questionable. Once you break trust it's hard to get it back. Ian will be just fine and he'll find someone who will love him and not tear his heart out someday. I don't want to blame her. I chalk it up to youthful stupidity frankly, but that doesn't change that she hurt him and for what so she could party in the islands like every other idiotic fool before her? I'm sorry...this just bugs me knowing it was probably exactly what I thought it was. I don't hate Nina. I guess I'm just a little disgusted, too.

That sounds like the most realistic explanation I've heard...
I hope both Nina & Ian are happy in themselves though & will move on from this! Also I hope it doesn't affect Season5 DE too much...
Love is such a funny thing isn't it?! I'm disgusted by Nina if that's truly what happened...I know we all wanna be young & party but I think she could've handled the whole thing better if that is the case!

Well you never know, if he really loves her enough to try to trust her again then they could still make it work after she eats a huge slice of humble pie. She's not the first girl to make a stupid move like that. But now it seems that he has been moving on from this and if it is true, how awful of her to rub it in his face on her twitter and stuff. I'd have a hard time forgiving what she did if it were me. She apparently dumped him in between trips and he never had any idea it was coming. Early on she was also retweeting and posting stuff that wasn't very flattering that some believed was toward Ian, basically about boring people, which later disappeared but, wow. It's like she took an 'act like a 12 year old' pill.

I feel bad for Ian if that is actually the case. From what I've seen he's a pretty understanding & compassionate person so forgiving her may not be completely impossible for him but she'll have to show she deserves it!
He's pretty much the perfect man so Nina possibly has made an awful mistake! The grass is not always greener on the other side & she'll probably realise that quite quickly!

I still keep thinking there's a tiny chance it's not true...ugh! But every day it becomes more and more true, doesn't it? I do still think it would be possible to work it out though if she tries hard to do so. So far we haven't seen any remorse from her for her 'fun times.' It seems so ridiculous to me. You see it doesn't matter who you are, people all act the same and do the same stupid crap. You can be Ian Somerhalder's girlfriend when millions of other women would love to be in your place and still do something as stupid as this. I don't get it. We don't know everything, of course. But from what we saw he was really sweet to her and treated her wonderfully, said lots of nice things about her, did lots of nice things for her, showed her lots of love and affection. That in itself is hard to find, let alone with Ian Somerhalder. Good Lord what is wrong with her?

The peeps at the CW are probably freaking out...JP is probably wondering how all this is going to work on the set. Ugh! They'd just better NOT change any storylines after we waited so long. How in the hell this could happen right as we get DE...argh! I remember when they came out with the fact they were dating I was nervous thinking it could turn out really badly, but of the both of them I think Ian will be able to act professionally even if he was the hurt party.
