Really, it was a dick move by CW. A 1-day notice, having people scramble to get their friends' contact info and they want people to migrate to social media (Twitter & Facebook) to discuss? No dice. I love an actual forum setup for actual lengthy discussions and going to either of those won't provide that.

Well it's obvious they were planning to do this for a long time. Otherwise they would have opened up boards for the new shows that had full season and they would have done something about the spam.
But one days notice was a terrible thing to do. Especially since people had stopped going on because of the spam.
Facebook and Twitter are NOT a good replacement.

They must have been planning it for awhile which is why we never got new Avatars for the new shows and why they left boards open for older shows but didn't open any for the new ones. Makes sense
