He didn't even bother to put it in a glass. The funny thing is that being as he's a vampire, his body would recover from the alcohol fast so he literally could keep drinking and drink ALOT just to get a decent buzz temporarily. Oh he got lambasted for 'flirting' with the bartender, too, for making the remark, "I could drink it all but then someone is going to get naked." Sheesh. Why? Because he kissed Elena later. Well I dunno but she hasn't agreed to be his yet. That makes him a free agent still.

I think I'd be more concerned about the shark bit. But, ya, pics would help. I'd be MOST concerned about the shark biting his bits OFF. I was once on the beach around here, near Daytona Beach and this fisherman pulled a pretty big shark in, like 8 foot long, thrashing around, seriously sharp teeth...yikes! I was swimming with THAT? I don't really go in the ocean much around there anymore. We have ALOT of sharks in these waters. When I was diving in Hawaii I saw a couple of them but they weren't huge and they were pretty shy. Still...makes you wary. Whenever I dove I always felt like, "I'm not in Kansas anymore." You're in their world, their environment and it isn't ours. But to be honest an octopus scared me the most of anything I encountered...scared me the freak out so I had to surface. I've lived 15 minutes form the beach all of my life. When I was a kid I was fearless. I was out riding in waves. NOW! Hell NO! Have you seen Soul Surfer?

I HAD to look up the name of this fear....ya ready? Ichthyophobia I learned to dive and got certified in the Puget Sound near Seattle and it was COLD murky water there, so a wet suit was required, huge HUGE fish...Sturgeon, these giant fish swimming by ya...was so weird. Luckily my dive partner was a paramedic going for his rescue diving certification so I felt fairly safe with him. After that Hawaii, Florida and the Caribbean were a piece of cake to dive in. Florida wreck diving is pretty fun...sunken ships and all that. Because of hurricanes there are alot of wrecks around the reefs very near the coast. Sturgeon: (That fish ought to scare you good)

I guess you'll never be a scuba diver. I HAD to look up the name of this fear....ya ready? Ichthyophobia Sounds more like the name for a fear of fleas Are you afraid of those too? Lemme see....Entomophobia is a fear of bugs...I can attest to this one. I have massive spiders on my patio ceiling right now and I walked under them the other day then noticed them on the way back in....not a good time to notice them. We have banana spiders here and wolf spiders..big spiders. I'm not afraid of tiny spiders though except black widows which I have found on my porch. The perils of living on a lake I guess...I've also had a coral snake in my garage and a rabid raccoon in my yard...dang! Oh and I forgot the alligators in the lake. A neighbor had a 8 foot one removed which sadly they killed instead of relocating because it was eating pets, but we all resolved NOT to report any more alligators as it was gruesome the way they killed it with a bangstick. So far so good...the alligators are minding their own business now. That 8 foot one had taken down a doberman and people saw it...could be a kid. The lake is stocked with bass so they have a food supply other than human...but people are stupid and feed them which is a very bad idea because it makes them lose their fear of us and encroach on our territory and eventually eat us or our pets! I'm wondering if it's so smart to live on a lake around here. But nature needs to leave me be...oy! Let's just write up an agreement. Revenge of the wildlife or something! I see deer like every week and unfortunately hit one a couple months back with my car...it ran out of the greenway/conservation area right next to the road and I didn't have time to stop....felt really bad about that for like a week, second one I've hit in my life, lucky me...but for seeing them as much as I do it's a wonder I haven't hit more of them. I wasn't even going fast but it still died though my car was barely touched. It's a hybrid Tahoe and built like a tank. Well nature is alive and well where I live anyway.

I hate snakes, spiders and BUGS! You are brave!! I heard in Florida, well in some parts there are HUGE BOA's and Crocs chilling in peoples backyards and on their front porches!

Yup, the alligators really don't want to be around us though so for the most part they aren't a problem but central florida has the most alligators per capita of all of the state..every lake has them. I hear their mating calls all night long. But an alligator can outrun a human on land which you wouldnt think possible but they can...the only way you can outsmart them is by zigzagging cause they dont see well at certain angles. I havent had to test this theory they taught me at Gatorland.

What topic did I derail here? Oh yeah, bomb shelter. I'm thinking it will get alot of use after this week's show actually. It seems like it will be another epic thing only with SE and I really hope it's in a way that things can move forward with DE. All indications are that it will be. It really is about time Elena moved on.

It's like wild safari in here! I live in coastal Virginia. 6 Miles from the Chesapeake Bay. 20 minutes to the ocean. Lakes and rivers everywhere here. I actually live between two branches of the Elizabeth River. You can't get anywhere without going over a bridge or going through a tunnel. We got plenty of both. Lots and lots of wildlife around of all kinds. Foxes, raccoons, opussum, bobcats, deer, bears, bats, all kinds of snakes, spiders, waterfowl, turtles...We have had several incidents the last year of bears showing us in peoples yards and one was up a tree. They had to rescue him. I get regular visits from a couple of hummingbirds. The bay is actually one of my favorite places. It's just so beautiful. We have all kinds of fish, and unforunately we have sharks, too. Had a terrible attack a couple of years ago. A couple from Russia went swimming at dusk. Not a good idea as that is feeding time. The guy died and the woman was severely injured. I don't go in the water at the beach or the bay. I fish off a pier or from the beach. I love swimming in the lakes and rivers though. I've lived here my entire life. Can't imagine living somewhere that was land locked. I wouldn't be able to survive. Not scared of spiders, snakes, bugs, or animals in general. I hate mosquitos!!! They freak me out. They are disgusting creatures. Disease carrying blood suckers......

I wouldn't be afraid of a fox. They seem pretty skittish and wary of humans, plus, they aren't that big. We have them around here, too and I've seen one. Now the bears? Yikes! THAT would scare me. I couldn't stand to be landlocked either. It's a foreign concept to me. I love to be near water.
On mosquitos, oh yes, the little bastads! Maybe they should make vampires carry diseases since they also are blood suckers. I read that mosquitos favorite blood type is O...apparently it's sweeter due to its chemical make up or so I've read. Several studies have borne this out. Straight dope has a bunch of info on that and lists studies and says this: Conclusion: to quote a favorite line from the Straight Dope Message Board, if you're a type O secretor, to a mosquito you look like caramel-covered crack.
Lucky me I have O- blood (the universal donor..apparently in more ways than 1) and sure enough, they love me like nobody else around. Why do you think I looked that up? Because I get bitten so badly every time! Apparently A type get the least bites. I think in my next fanfic I'll have to add that to my list of facts about blood and vampire preferences...seems it would apply also.
I thought that was an interesting and fun fact sort of thing.

We've actually had several rabid fox attacks. Still not scared of them. I'm O positive, too. Those little blood suckers don't like me though. I get maybe two or three bites a summer. I get so flipped out when it happens. Thinking I'm gonna get equine encephalitis or some other equally disgusting malady. I eat tons of onions, garlic and black pepper...maybe that's why they don't like me. I'm glad they don't.
