I love this show, the mid-season finale was very good but I liked the episode before that even better. I absolutely love the character of Katherine de Medici, she's the ultimate badass Queen but you can see glimpses of feelings behind that impenetrable wall of her composure and her love for Francis is unquestionable. When Nostradamus told her Francis would never forgive her if she killed Mary she said he can hate her the rest of his life as long as it's a long life - that was so Damon of her!  And Mary riding off with Bash in the last scene, yay! |

leandril, love this series so much! So many twists and turns and I like that the spoilers don't well...spoil it. And so agree about Katherine. Isn't she wonderful? I thought for some reason that she would have tried to help Diane legitimize Bash as to spare her son but she still wants Francis to be King.
I love Diane too, she gets it so much. I do wonder how she knew that Mary had a "thirst" for Bash. (I mean who doesn't?!?)
I did read that this episode will change Francis and Mary's relationship forever. Hmmm.....I like the sound of that.
Of course the problem is that it is based on historical people and can't stray too far from reality. Can it? Because they speak so much about being loyal to their status as rulers, Francis and Mary may end up marrying out of duty but Bash could be Mary's true love. I could go for that!
Freaking love Bash! Can you tell?

I really hope they aren't writing this show as it goes along. I want them to have a real plan for these characters and not bow to things they hear or fandoms they are trying to keep happy.

Just watched the episode. Am I the only one when watching Mary and Francis it feels like I'm doing something illegal. Like they look like children to me having sex. It's not romantic or remotely relatable. It's pretty blu lagoon. Dustutbing. Francis is just not my cup of tea. He looks like his mom still baby wipes his bottom after poo poo.
Anyway Clarissa is crazy!!! What is the relation to her and Nostradamus? Also I kinda like Dianne but I don't agree with how age messes with bash's life. He shouldn't be worried that his "stage mom" will do something to get him be headed.
The queen is wickedly good! I love her and is it me but Mary's dresses have become more revealing this episode since she lost her virtue. (Rolls eyes) gross..... That still irratates me. Like why did they have to have sex? And Bash is beloved by the fans. He needs more screen time.
But I saw a bash and Mary kiss on our future!!!! So excited.

Yes indeedy, Sweet! Can not wait for some more Bash and Mary kissing! Totally agree with you about Francis and Mary in bed. Gross....Francis does nothing for me and he looks so childlike it creeps me out. Mary is way too much woman for him. Now our man, Bash on the other hand.... What IS up with Clarissa? I thought at first Diane had poisoned the girl and Clarissa pushed her to make it look like she died by accident to cover for Diane...but Clarissa poisoned her so Nostradamus' prediction would come true? I wonder why?? Really looking forward to the second half of the season. |

Last night was crazy!!! OMG do you think she will marry Bash? I'm so confused and happy and a bit upset. i don't want her to be forced to marry Bash but then if they marry then love will transpire because she has feelings for him but will then Francis be her what misteress?

Yes! That was crazzzzzzy! And wonderful and crazzzzzy! Since everyone seems to have a problem with Mary and Francis being factual people who actually did marry what I hope will happen is that Mary and Bash will have a slow angst driven awesome and intense love. He will be the love of her life but just before he becomes King and they are to wed, he dies tragically saving her or his brother and Francis and Mary go on to marry after all. But Mary will always have Bash in her heart.
I hope they take their time with Bash and Mary and it isn't over in an episode. They've really done some brilliant writing so far.

Oh bash and Mary were wonderful tonight. That kiss at the end was beautiful. This show is brilliant. Francis just needs to stay away with his silly curly long blond hair. He gives me the creeps. Lol
