Okay so I have never been a big fan of this pairing BUT I have to say seeing Elena all Kat like in the last episode and Damon happy I can see really liking this pairing. I mean Damon always accuses Elena of trying to make Damon into Stefan, but in this episode it showed Damon has a little part of him wanted Elena to be more Katherine like. I truly saw how Damon could be happier with someone like Katherine because he could unapologetically be himself. I am not totally on board, but I am warming up to this ship.
