AN EXPLOSIVE SEASON FINALE — Heartbroken by an unexpected tragedy, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is focused on holding himself together, while pushing Bonnie (Kat Graham) harder than ever to find a way to stop the disintegration of the Other Side. Elena (Nina Dobrev) takes matters into her own hands and demands that Liv (guest star Penelope Mithcell) and Luke (guest star Chris Broshu) help her, but Liv refuses to cooperate until Caroline (Candice Accola) provides her with some personal motivation. Sheriff Forbes (guest star Marguerite MacIntyre) is horrified when Markos (guest star Raffi Barsoumian) uses violence against Tyler/Julian (Michael Trevino) to prove that Mystic Falls is now under the control of the Travelers. With new information from Sheriff Forbes, Damon comes up with a dangerous plan that relies on split-second timing from Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Matt (Zach Roerig). Liv’s off-hand remark regarding Stefan (Paul Wesley) gets a surprisingly emotional response from Caroline. As conditions on the Other Side worsen, Bonnie takes the opportunity to settle an old score. Finally, Damon’s plan causes a massive explosion in Mystic Falls, and everyone is caught up in the confusion, leaving a trail of heroism, sacrifice, relief and despair. Chris Grismer directed the episode.

As much as i am glad that Stefan is back to the land of living, I am as much sad that Damon didn't make it.So i kinda feel indifferent right now.Hopefully, Season 6 will find a way to bring Damon back.

I know this is a week late but here is my thoughts / review on the last episode of this season

We open up with Stefan still dead and Caroline crying. Though when Damon shows up the look Damon gave it might not be tears but I'll say that was sad.

Lexi appearance! i know it happens every year but i'm always happy to see her.

Damon is taking it hard. Yay ghost Enzo, please tell me Enzo makes it back to the other side.

Nice! Caroline killed witch boy! That was pretty damn great.

Wow, what they did to not-tyler was great I love the fact they have a great way to stop vampires. It's like the movie "The Wolverine" the fact his healing factor was gone made for a very interesting movie in which you believed he could die.

Unlikely but i am hoping Katherine comes back somehow.

LOL I love Enzo when he's pointing out the list to bring back keeps growing.

Jeremy is genius! I love it. He walked around and any area he hated vampires less meant his hunter side was gone meaning no magic. I love it not only is it simple BUT it also reminds us Jeremy is great.

Damon as leader of the group is pretty great as he is more action than when stefan acted as leader.

Enzo + Bonnie together are fun. It's no Caroline/Enzo but still. Silas! ... wait doppelgänger are super natural. Will they save Tom?

Nice! Matt is actually making a case for no magic. It's a small thing but he would think that it makes sense.

Damon is going to trigger the explosion! LOL at him using the "This is my choice please respect that" against Elena

Woah Bonnie let Silas get sucked away. Way to go Bonnie! she standing up for herself.

Bonnie's grandma says shes done something to save Bonnie at last Bonnie has a chance

Caroline's mom is badass I like it.

Elena chose to help Damon

ok the car crashing and the big explosion was pretty great.

Now it feels useless as Markos is going to return anyway.

Alaric! LOL "When you finally get the girl, dont blow her up" Wise words indeed lol

Enzo made it! that is awesome. Now i'm hyped for season 6 as we can get Caroline/Enzo!

Lexi killed Markos then sacrificed herself! but no Lexi next year?

NO! Damon can't come back! So now as the kids would say he is dead for reals!

Wow Elena is crying over damon. She didn't cry over Stefan. Does that mean the show is no longer about a love triangle as it's pretty obvious she only cares for one that deeply (unless they force it next year)

Alaric is back that's good.

So at the end the living dead scale for me goes

Pros:
+Emotional
+I didn't see it coming till i saw it
+There is hope for Damon and Bonnie
+ Seeing lexi & Alaric
+ Great Jeremy episode
+ Bonnie got be bad ass with Silas
+ Enzo lives!!

Cons
- Where's Kol? I thought he was still there unless i forgot and he was killed
- No chance for Katherine to return
- Elena lives, I really hoped if anyone was trapped there it'd be her.


I'd give the final a 9/10 that was pretty fun. I look forward to next year.
