Yeah, I think I will too, give it a try anyways. I'm sure they're going to do crossovers with Arrow, and I don't want to miss stuff. Of course if it sucks I'll just stop watching it lol.

I LOVE this series. Does anyone here watch it? I'm behind usa last episode aired here is Arrow vs Flash (not seen yet but that's my most anticipated tv episode in years) I love how different it feels to Arrow its brighter and more cheerful yet Barry seems the opposite of Oliver and it works.
By different or opposite I mean Oliver is in a darker setting working mostly from the shadows and seems a very solitary figure yet under it he is oddly an optimistic.
Barry however is in a brighter setting working in secret but no one is questioning his motives as everyone is thinking he's a hero. Yet under it with what's happened to him you get the sense he has no hope in him.
I find the contrasts very interesting. It's like since they cant use every hero from the comics Flash = Superman and Arrow = Batman and that is really fun to watch. Now Supergirl is coming to complete the 3 and I can not wait these shows keep getting better.
If you like comics now is a great time as we now have/ getting :
Arrow - Awesome Flash = Awesome Agents of shield - Not a fan but others love it Agent Carter - could be fun Constantine - Not seen yet but want too. Daredevil - * A.K.A. Jessica Jones -* Iron Fist -* Luke Cage -* Defenders -*= All netflix series but look amazing I cant wait Gotham - awesome Krypton - Like gotham for syfy (still hate that spelling lol) Supergirl! - cant wait
it's great time indeed

Jessica Jones -* Iron Fist -* Luke Cage -* Defenders -*= All netflix series but look amazing I cant wait Gotham - awesome Krypton - Like gotham for syfy (still hate that spelling lol) Supergirl! - cant wait it's great time indeed I am watching both Arrow and the Flash. I am definitely enjoying Flash, but I don't love it as much as I love Arrow. It's a lot of fun, and I like it a lot more than I thought I would, and I like Barry a lot more than I thought I would too. But sometimes it reminds me too much of Smallville (meteor infected freak of the week), and by the end of Smallville I was reeeeaally over it. So I'm hoping it develops beyond that as it goes. I disagree with you though, about Barry not having hope. I don't see him that way at all. And I don't see Oliver as an optimist either, to be honest. He's a fighter, and he has hope, but he sees the dark sides of everything, and he gives up in his personal life way too easily. Barry on the other hand is always bright and cheerful, even in the face of crushing disappointment, and so far he's not giving up on anyone or anything. In fact, I might say that I see them the exact opposite way that you do lol. Oh well :-) I will usually always give supernatural/super hero stories a chance, because I love the genra a great deal. However, I have never picked up a comic in my life and have no intention of doing so because I really don't like the medium. I just can't get into it, at all. But I like the shows, and the movies. Sometimes it's a little frustrating though, because I feel like the PTB of the shows are only writing for the people who already know everything from the comics. Like they make a big deal out of something, and I'll feel like I should care more about it, but I don't because I don't know what its supposed to be about. And everyone in the comic world is going crazy about what an exciting thing it was that happened and I just feel lost and left out. It's kind of annoying. I wish they PTB would have more care for the new audience members. I don't want to feel like I have to do research or get a translater to understand what's going on :-(

I prefer Arrow too. Yeah its cool if you think different your still watching and liking As for the last part about writing for people who know. I don't think they do, I think you get more out of it if you know but it's like TVD is based on the books. I don't read the books so certain things people are like "OMG they did that in books I see where is this going" Like Elena becoming a vampire i never saw that coming lol But the difference between comics + show is huge. Like arrow. In comics Green Arrow is a lot more cocky and arrogant, like robin hood levels. In show he is darker more rounded character and is fighting villains of other heroes not just his own as they are using more mainstream names. In fact the new comic of green arrow (new 52) takes a lot from the show My only fear is too many of the comic movies + shows = people make get bored or sick of genre, But its fun

Just watched The Flash vs Arrow. HOLY **** amazing episode. I loved how they played with Experience vs Powers element and the difference between the 2 heroes. I literally paused from laughing so hard at "We called him captain cold" "We'll discuss you giving your villains silly names later" "Sure how about over coffee with deathstroke and huntress" "point" LOL great banter. I loved how Oliver was in the role of mentor in this episode it was great.
My only complaint is I thought the fight would be longer BUT what we got was great. I highly recommend this episode, now to watch the arrow team up episode lol

I wouldn't say I'm a super huge superhero fan. I've never really got into the comics and all the superhero lore. And I get easily confused on what's DC vs Marvel lol. As far as what I watch and enjoy it's mainly Xmen, Spiderman, Hulk, Fantastic Four, Avengers. Never really got into Batman or Superman. I liked Flash from cartoons like Young Justice/Justice League (been a while since I watched those toons so don't quote me on exact names and sagas lol) and cause he reminds me of Quicksilver lol. Given how I'm picky with what I watch (like Iron in Avengers but never could get into watching all three of his movies) while it was interesting upon its first announcement, I didn't really give Arrow a try because I wasn't sure if I'd actually like it. But Felicity's (probs spelled her name wrong XD) and Oliver's characters crossing over has made me interested in giving it a try eventually. I know there's at least two seasons to catch up on lol so might be awhile. I'll probably wait till this current season is finished to start. So yeah glad I stuck with wanting to watch Flash cause I do tend to get a bit lazy when it comes to catching shows live, except TVD since it's been the same routine Thursday for 6 years now haha. Also it's finally great to be able to post in these Other TV Shows section, since I don't really watch much aside from TVD, TO, and reality shows lol.

I definitely think you should watch Arrow. I think it's way better than Flash, and I like Flash! It's deffinitely more serious, and a bit darker. But you watch TVD and TO, so I'm sure you can handle dark :-) But the characters are really well developed, and there is a lot of good story. And I am an Olicity shipper all the way!! lol They have the first 3 seasons on Netflix streaming. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Yes I love Arrow! It's the other show I have to watch every week. As for The Flash, I haven't caught completely up on it yet along with some other shows I watch so it isn't at the very top of 'must watch' for me, but I like it and I like how it ties in to Arrow in cool ways here and there. I wish they'd done more of that with TO cause maybe then I'd still be watching it...as it is TO is on my DVR untouched this season. Maybe I'll get to it...eventually.

I have been enjoying The Flash even though there are some parts I do find a bit cheesy haha. Oliver's character was such an immense contrast to Barry's! I loved their dynamic! Too bad they're from different shows lol. And I find the team dynamic (oh man the only person I can remember is Dr. Welsh lol) a bit more lively when Felicity is around them and I find myself going, 'No stay!' when the crossover ends. Both Oliver and Felicity's characters managed to practically jump out at me from the screen so yeah I'm definitely going to be checking Arrow out!

Haha yeah imagine all the fun and interesting things they can do with TO and TVD if JP did care more about the crossover part! Klaus could have found a solution to deal with Markos and the anti Barrier. TO has a much more richer lore when it comes to the witches, so much creative spells and magic that they never explored on TVD. And then crossover of simple small things, like Tyler receiving a Moon Light ring from one of the wolf covens (he did go around helping many of them when he was a hybrid). Or to see Damon show up with a smirk or something from the call of Klaus/Elijah. Or like how at the beginning of this season Stefan was out of town and moved on well Ivy could have been in New Orleans. Just something/anything to show that TO is a spin off from TVD and that these characters are in the same universe lol. Instead it just comes off more that TO was made to get rid of Klaus and the other Originals and JP didn't really care to intertwine the characters further and now it almost feels like these shows exist in separate universes aside from the odd mention of major things that 'have' to be mentioned. Like the Other Side collapsing.

Well that part with Barrysaying he 'doesn't have those feelings anymore' to Iris and her replying back, 'I know' was a bit awkward lol.
Barry's angry about Iris telling the girl he was trying to date about his feelings for her but I never got the impression she did it vindictively. She wasn't being smug or sarcastic, she didn't even tell the girl that she was this person who Barry's love was unrequinted for. Iris doesn't know Barry is the Flash so she can't possibly know him suddenly taken off from the other girl has to do with him fighting crime verses her thinking that maybe he isn't quite ready to commit to someone else yet in fear of being in another unrequited love.
Iris was simply offering up what she knows from limited knowledge what could be the case for Barry's mishaps with the girl. So I felt it was a bit over the top with Barry accusing Iris of her not wanting him to be with her and thus not anyone else either because her character does not come off that vindictive or jealous in her actions. If she was she would have told that girl that she was the one who Barry wasn't over yet but she left it anonymous.
That other girl just put two and two together and figured it was Iris and sort of lied a bit that Iris straight up told her (she gave her the idea but not a name) so Barry got the wrong impression and thought Iris waltzed on over and said it point blank.
Also it's obvious that Iris and Barry are the main interests and she'll break up with her boyfriend somewhere down the line and get with Barry, but if these writers want to throw other girls with Barry in the meantime, can they at least build up the relationship decently? We meet this 'hot' girl who after a date or so gets hot and heavy already. There's no commitment or anything to root for, I can't even remember the girl's name. If she got killed, I wouldn't even care.
Now if they put Barry with Kate, one of his coworkers who knows about his identity as Flash and helps him on cases, that would be more believable and interesting. The two have already built up a dynamic of trust, they both know about the hopeless loves the other is stuck on, they've healed/comforted each other, they went on that sorta date and hung out witnessing new, playful 'out of work' sides of the other etc.
So while I'm rooting for Iris/Barry, I can see the basis and development of Kate/Barry if the show were to go there and it wouldn't be out of left field.

I look at her wiki and I literally know a majority of the shows she's played in, most of them are Nickelodeon series I remember watching religiously and I still didn't recognize her face even in her most recent Nick appearance in Big Time Rush where she was recurring for at least three seasons. Why can't I recognize her by now, it's just incredibly odd to me lol.
