Well this series surprised me. I could not stop watching it until I was too tired to keep watching...so two nights in a row of that and I am caught up with the series and I want to know what happens next! I absolutely love Clarke, the female lead. She's sassy and stubborn and a leader that always tries to do the right thing. She's the perfect female lead as far as I'm concerned and I already ship her with Finn, even though he's disappointed me already but we shall see where that goes. This is a really good series that seriously will leave you wanting answers every episode. If you aren't watching it, you should and the good news is you've only missed 12 episodes so get on that!

I feel the same way! This show really surprised me. I was interested in it because the premise seemed like it had potential, but I didn't have high expectations. But I have really really enjoyed it. All the characters have many layers, there isn't anyone really who is all good or all bad. And I definitely ship Clarke and Finn too :-) And I think there is plenty of story to tell, so I hope it sticks! I'm really looking forward to what they're going to do with it.

There's a ton of potential with this story and I was a big LOSTie as well and this has shades of LOST to me, the whole survivor thing in an inhospitable world...it works for me! They even have Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) from LOST...lol I like all the females in the show, too which is a plus! They have some very strong females, no damsels in distress, and I like that.
Most of the guys are great, too. I don't really care much for Bellamy, though I like his sister Octavia, even though she's a first rate brat, and they have added layers to the guy already which shows he isn't as bad as he seems. All the characters are already showing their layers which is pretty fantastic at episode 12. It's hard not to find something to like about all of them.

Oh yeah definitely. I was a huge LOST fan as well, and this definitely has a similar vibe. They even cast a LOST alum! And there is potential for a lot of mystery and backstory, like what's been happening over the hundred years that people were in space. I'm interested to see if they get into any of the history of what happened on the ground for all that time. Its really an admirable excursion into Sci-Fi for the CW, and I think they're doing a surprisingly good job.

Haha, oh yeah, here it is! I had even posted here already lol. It's been so long that I completely forgot. I am really looking forward to this show coming back! Still a few weeks away though :-(

Still a few weeks away though :-( Yeah..I notice there are a lot more Bellamy fans than I thought. I don't really like Bellamy myself. I know some people find him a sympathetic character but I really don't! I was kind of hoping he'd die...lol But I know he won't. Then I guess some on that side were hoping Finn would die so yeah we have a good old fashioned love triangle going on here with strong feelings all around! |

Yeah I can see that is starting to happen. I haven't come to a decision about either one of them personally. There are things I like and dislike about both of them. Finn is more sympathetic in my opinion, but I see the potential for a lot of character development with Bellamy. I don't like him much right now, but I can see seeds of change and the possibility that he could become more. And I really like character arcs like that, so that intrigues me.

But it will be interesting to see if they are able to develop him into someone I want to see with her. I think this idea of her being the "princess" and Bellamy being sort of like a "knight", or a soldier in her army is interesting. I can easily picture them in a different time period where that might really be the case. It totally fits for him to take orders from her and follow her lead, and have her take charge of him. But Finn is more of an equal, which is why I like him better for her right now. |

But one thing that bothered me was now there are too many stories and places going on. We have Mount Weather, Jaha and space, abbey and the earth ark, what's her name Bellamy's sister and the hot grounder guy! I'm glad Raven, Finn and Belemay are with Abbey because that was two more stories last night. It was just too much last night. I did enjoy the episode though.

There was a lot going on in that episode for sure, but I was actually glad of that. The finally last season left us with all those pieces up in the air, so if they had only focused on a couple of the storylines, I would have been dying to know what had happened to everyone else. This way they were able to show us where everyone is, and who is still alive. After the premiere I do hope they focus things a little better, but I'm glad we got a sum-up of where everyone is first. Anyways, interesting episode. I can't say I'm thrilled about the Mt. Weather storyline, but I will reserve judgment for now. Those people do look kind of sickly, so I don't think they are lying about having to stay down there. HOWEVER, my guess would be that they have brought what's left of the 100 to their "lair" in order to study them and find a way to use them, to make it possible for them to leave the lair and go outside. I see some biological experiments in their futures. I'm glad that Finn, Bellamy, Raven and (what's the guy's name who shot Raven? Can't remember) What's His Name are all in one place together, agree with you there. Not too thrilled about how Marcus is acting, arresting Bellamy for punching What's His Face. Suddenly I'm feeling apprehensive about having the adults joining them. I'm already missing the Princess Clarke and her Knight Bellamy storyline. I liked those 2 being in charge of the rag tag group of juvenile criminals. I hope we can get back to that at some point. I don't want it to be all about the adults now. And I really hope Bellamy doesn't spend the next few episodes in "jail" or whatever. That will be annoying. And I wonder how they are going to save Raven?? She looks pretty bad ... Lincoln and Octavia are great, still love them. The Lincoln statue was a cute touch :-) I don't remember what happened to Octavia though, she was poisoned? I hope that gets fixed soon, cause I'm not sure I want to watch Link carrying her everywhere for the next few episodes. And that weird Goonies Sloth guy Octavia glimpsed in the woods was odd though ... not sure what that's going to be about. And Jaha ... trapped in an empty space station with a baby ?? Um ... I hope there is something more to that, because that was really weird. But aside from those particular head scratchers, I liked the premiere. I'm definitely not losing any love for this show. Can't wait to see what happens next! |
