I liked it, although it dragged a bit in parts but it was good character building. I managed to catch it online last night.

I agree that it was a little slower than some others. But some intense character stuff for sure. I love Jenny and Ian :-) But boy, those scenes with BJR were explicit! I can't believe they showed as much as they did. And finally they start to get to the root of his relationship to Jamie. But seriously, Jamie naked at the mill ... if nothing else about the episode was worth seeing, that would have made it worth it :-)

I will say this. Jamie looked particularly delicious in this episode, especially the part where he's telling her how he fell in love with her. My heart literally melted....for me that was the best scene of the whole episode. This show is quickly becoming my second favorite show and if TVD fails me, it will move into first place. Thank God for it! Maybe it will ease the pain a little bit but I'm getting addicted! HALP! I was frantically searching for the damn episode online from the time it aired until I finally found it...LOL Pretty soon I'll be paying for every episode, I just know it!

Do you care about book vs. show contrasts? I was going to say something about that scene in the book, but then I thought maybe you would rather I didn't so I thought I'd check first :-)

Well if they already did the scene and I watched it I don't care. I'm just trying not to be spoiled on future stuff for now.

Jamie doesn't know that Claire is technically still married in her other life either, does he? I don't think she told him that did she? She said he was dead as I recall.

One of the things I love about this series. Old Interview but still relevant.:
"Outlander" is being touted as the feminist response to shows like "Game of Thrones," and for good reason. Its author, Diana Gabaldon, wrote a strong, capable heroine in Claire Randall because, in her own words, she isn't a fan of "stupid women."
During a group interview at San Diego Comic-Con, Gabaldon and "Outlander" showrunner Ron Moore explain why Claire is the biggest draw of the series. "I don't like stupid women, so why would I write about one?" Gabaldon says.

I don't know if she's told him about Frank yet or not. In the episode when she tells him the truth finally, she voiced over that part saying "I told him everything" but I don't know if everything included Frank or not, they didn't make that clear. Before she told him the truth she HAD told him that her husband was dead. So yeah, maybe they are holding that off for a more specific conversation? Or maybe we're meant to assume that she told him. I'm not sure.

I'm not sure. That's pretty important and I don't know if he would be so happy about it so it seems odd to gloss over it. I mean technically she is already married to someone else so in his time an adulterer would be severely punished or worse I suspect.

Ok, I was just going to mention that the scene in the book is funnier. I love Caitriona, I think she makes an awesome Claire. The only thing about her that is unfortunate is that she is completely the wrong body type for Claire, which affected this scene a bit in the show. They still managed to make it adorable, and I loved it. But Claire is supposed to be a curvy girl, like hourglass figure. So in the book that scene is really funny because Jamie starts talking about how he fell in love with her while they were riding to Leoch and her giant wide ass was bouncing against him the whole ride lol, and she gets all mad and starts hitting him and he's laughing at her and stuff. He made it super cute in the show though, I loved it.
